The Argentinian players are going to get literally crucified in the press at home. (And yes I am using literally correctly because the meaning of crucified has changed in the modern era).

The Colombian player who screwed up has had death threats. Which is serious in a country where someone who missed a pen at the 1994 USA World Cup was actually shot and killed.

I read that some Saudi players were going to be punished, but how wasn't yet said. I forget what for.

Oh I missed the game. I knew Argentina weren't doing well as I started to receive lots of whats apps with videos and pictures from various Brazilians. Even the old lady next door sent a crowd shot of miserable faces in Buenos Aires, followed by about 100 laughing emojis.

The Colombian will be OK, things are way better for them than they were in '94.

VAR sorted that out, he should have been given a yellow it.

VAR could also have sorted the Iceland penalty. It's not their fault it wasn't given, surely.

But just pointing out that dives are not exclusive to a few.

I can't understand why the pile-on form of defence when the striker is visibly brought to the ground by one or sometimes two defenders never gets picked up by the referee or VAR.

Iceland got given the penalty, it was Switzerland who missed out, don't confuse the vikings with the holey cheeses

Neymar is not the only diver but that one was pathetic, at least Robben pretended to do swan lake four years ago

I'm enjoying the World Cup so far, watching as many games as I can. I'm looking forward to watching Belgium play today, see what we will be up against next. The belgiums can play some good football!
I like that there's been some shocks so far, makes it more interesting!
At the start of the tournament I thought France would be a team to watch, but although they are winning matches they haven't really stood out for me.
Still obviously hoping England do well, although I would love to see them win the World Cup I can't see it really. Just hoping they get as far as possible and play well.
