In the spirit of previous rolling Football threads, would posters sign in with:

  1. What country/countries you support
  2. What country teams you particularly dislike (Euro or world)?
  3. What things your family are doing to get your kids excited about the Euro 2016 tournament?
  4. A comment about a player or two, or an issue or two.

Me too, would have been brilliant Football A very disappointed Seamus now on itv but he was a proud captain.

PanEuropeanPan · 26/06/2016 16:15

Ach they were beaten by quality, weren't they? Fabulous effort and some v tired limbs out there. Well done ROI.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 26/06/2016 20:24

I see Joachim Low has been sniffing himself again !! Envy

derxa · 26/06/2016 20:46

I'm sorry for my Wales comment. Please ignore. Blush

derxa · 26/06/2016 20:48

No need for that Derxa Let's not get on to politics please. I'm Welsh and deplore the Brexit result. Let's stick to football on here Yes I'm sorry. I hope Wales do well.

GrimmauldPlace · 26/06/2016 20:52

Oh gawd. I must've missed that part or my mind has already blocked it out What's he been sniffing now?

BestIsWest · 26/06/2016 20:55

No problem Derxa. I'll be cheering on England tomorrow night. Looking forward to it.

PanEuropeanPan · 26/06/2016 20:59

Ken - why are you envious that JL has been sniffing himself again?? The public needs to know!

KenDoddsDadsDog · 26/06/2016 21:13

Ha ha it's meant to be nauseous !

BestIsWest · 26/06/2016 21:40

Not fancying Wales chances against Belgium.

Lweji · 27/06/2016 14:12

Belgium was ranked best team in Europe as of last month.
They should not be dismissed at all.
I hope Italy-Spain is an interesting game.

BTW, Messi has helped Chile win the Copa America by completely missing the goal on a penalty shoot out. This Summer is not going particularly well for neither of the top World players.
And he's leaving the Argentina squad.

It's happened again,
It's happened again,
Oh Argentina,
It's happened again.

We're watching Spain vs Italy. 3yo DD predicts an Italy win. She hasn't been wrong so far this tournament. So much so that I even considered putting a bet on Portugal the other night as she said they'd win.
Then again, she has also predicted an Iceland win so I hope she's wrong today! Grin

BelfastBloke · 27/06/2016 17:03

I'm supporting Italy. Might not have if Arsenal's Bellerin had been selected for Spain.

Also, having Dirty Biscuits in midfield for Spain puts me off them.

PanEuropeanPan · 27/06/2016 17:43

On a train. Is Dirty Biscuits MrsF's dd's name for Busquets at all??

GrimmauldPlace · 27/06/2016 17:51

Ha! Don't know about the dirty but I've just asked her to pronounce it and she does indeed say biscuits. I think the dirty came from Belfast's dislike of the player. Just a hunch Grin

BelfastBloke · 27/06/2016 17:54

Yeah, he's a right cheating git, and has been every time Barca beat Arsenal.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 27/06/2016 18:15

Dirty Biscuits Grin
Fuerza España, looking a bit better second half

KenDoddsDadsDog · 27/06/2016 18:17

Filthy Pique

GrimmauldPlace · 27/06/2016 18:30

I'm pleased to say DD has revised her prediction for this evenings match and is now saying it will be an England win nothing to do with my persuasion, honestly

Lweji · 27/06/2016 19:01

Well done Italy.
I'm never displeased when Spain loses.😆

I don't think Iceland have it in them.

Orangetoffee · 27/06/2016 19:21

Well done Italy, but they did make it difficult for themselves with their sloppy play at times.

Now come on England!

PanEuropeanPan · 27/06/2016 19:55

I think Sterling playing is an old red herring.

PanEuropeanPan · 27/06/2016 19:59

That joke works on multi-levels.

I'll get me coat.
