I actually think the Coldplay thing works, as it makes the music more of a backdrop to the other stuff, rather than the band being more important, which is how the Olympic closing ceremony felt to me.

What am I gonna watch now there will be hardly any sport (and I don't mean that other crappy 'sport' that invades us every weekend from now till kingdom come) on tv ?

The Olympics and Paralympics have totally blown me away. I have spent the past 13 days agog and finding myself screaming at the tv in joy, agony and every other emotion.

If I had enough pennies I would take the DCs to London tomorrow for the Parade. I don't, so I am going to watch on tv and cry my heart out.

It's been brilliant. Wonderful. Jaw-dropping. Inspirational.

I am going to miss it all desperately.

Switched on at about 925 so have only seen Coldplay so far. What have I missed, anything worth trying to see on catch up tv? I like the light shows.

And please, FFS I don't wanna watch a Clodplay gig. Feck off !
