Is there anyone else on? Or is this a Coldplay gig til 11pm??

I wonder how much of this is clear 'live'or are there lots of screens showing it close up?

Who is she ?

lapsedorienteerer · 09/09/2012 21:29

Loved the first bit, not enjoying ColdPlay and may well be saying goodnight soon.

However in terms of 'inspiring a generation' DS (nearly 10) this evening asked to join an athletics clubTorch.......I shall be looking to book tickets for 2024!

He seems to have forgotten the tune to this one...

And now I know . I have had enough of coldplay now

OhYouGreatGreatBritain · 09/09/2012 21:31

Coldplay aren't really my thing, it's all a bit soporific.

cardibach · 09/09/2012 21:31

I heard that there were other 'surprise' guests, Raahh. I hope so. BUt they have to play Viva la Vida first or I will be sad.

lapsedorienteerer · 09/09/2012 21:31

Most people in the stadium audience will be barely able to see this (except big screen) so suspect we at home have a better idea of what's going on.

paRaahhlympiansgoingforgold · 09/09/2012 21:32

ooh, now i like the bike bit.

Like this better than the other Closing Ceremony. The crowd 'lights' are bloody amazing to watch. And 'normalising' disability - the drummer, the dancers, other people taking part -superb.

I'm annoyed I didn't get tickets when I had the chance.

Thanks London 2012 for a fantastic summer Torch

PersonalClown · 09/09/2012 21:35

I'm going to stick the TV on mute. I hate Coldplay.

lapsedorienteerer · 09/09/2012 21:35

Yes, liking the acrobatic/acting stuff but not ColdPlay. I think the Lance Corporal who was the narrator should clearly be on the stage, not in an infantry Battalion.

ISeeThreadPeople · 09/09/2012 21:35

Anything other than Coldplay happening tonight?

SminkoPinko · 09/09/2012 21:36

Too much coldplay. All their songs sound the same.

paRaahhlympiansgoingforgold · 09/09/2012 21:36

There is a bit too much Coldplay, really. I love the light show though.

Are they saving Sir Paul for the end ? Grin

lapsedorienteerer · 09/09/2012 21:37

I agree with LeeC, in fact I'd go as far as to say this is the best of the four opening/closing ceremonies (with the exception of ColdPlay).

paRaahhlympiansgoingforgold · 09/09/2012 21:38

Tuna- maybe that's the 'surprise'Grin

Are they singing all the seasons?? How many have we had?

OP posts:
AmIthatbad · 09/09/2012 21:39

I love Coldplay, but they should have just done two songs. They have kind of taken over.

Is Rihanna turning up?

tkband3 · 09/09/2012 21:39

God Coldplay are rubbish - sound like they haven't played together in months! Isn't anyone else on or is it just an extended Coldplay gig...hope not!

PersonalClown · 09/09/2012 21:40

How many people paid a fortune for what is unfortunately a glorified Coldplay concert?

Visually stunning, I'm loving it but not enough music variety for me.

lapsedorienteerer · 09/09/2012 21:41

Decorating the Fish now...............

paRaahhlympiansgoingforgold · 09/09/2012 21:41

the fish is cool. Let's hope it contains other acts...

Is this the last season? [hopeful that Coldplay will shut up once they have done all four]
