Brilliant medal for Tom!

JammySplodger · 11/08/2012 22:18

I'm going to miss this all too. Have ordered Greg Louganis' autobiography, and am going to take the boys swimming (not quite diving yet) when DH is back home.

AGiraffeOnTheDivingBoard · 11/08/2012 22:20

DH and I bawling at the montage

TheDoctrineOfEnnis · 11/08/2012 22:24

Oh, me too!

JugglingWithFiveRings · 11/08/2012 22:33

I love those montage bits too - and loved the diving, and also the beautiful rhythmic gymnastics this afternoon Smile Well done Tom ! Awesome Mo !!
Great last night !

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 12/08/2012 00:06

I was there........Grin

Mo was incredible Torch

(the Jamaican sprint relay team weren't bad either Wink)

wrigglerstea · 12/08/2012 00:26

I thought Mo looked very jumpy and not quite concentrating at the medal ceremony. I reckon his wife looked more uncomfortable than pissed off. My husband and I both wondered whether she was in early labour and he was thinking "I've got to get off this bloody podium and get her to the hospital"...

lighthousekeeping · 12/08/2012 00:30

Yes, I think we may have some more good news tomorrow Smile

Just watched the diving final on iPlayer - Tom was so pleased with his bronze! He might have got a better medal if he'd had a higher rating on his final dive, but not necessarily - and he so deserved to have one! And Yaaayy for Mo's gold double! Fantastic achievement. So happy for him.
And the boxer Luke Campbell! Excellent gold there too (although I didn't watch that, not over keen on boxing)

Loving your work Chas!

JugglingWithFiveRings · 12/08/2012 10:40

The woman on early morning breakfast Olympic coverage said "There are mobots everywhere !" - wondered if she'd seen yours chaz Grin

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 12/08/2012 10:55

LOVE the Mobot. I feel sure it will have been seen on dancefloors across the land last night.

Laughed A LOT just after the diving when Claire Balding declared there was a 'silver vagina', though she actually said 'silver for China', of course.

I missed Mrs Farrah's grumpiness. Hope she's all right.

Women's Pentathlon today gives us a medal hope, I gather?

kingbeat23 · 12/08/2012 13:21

I thought I saw Tania Farah say something along the lines of "did you hear what he just said" although I could be making that all up.

Have totally enjoyed the games, went into the kitchen to get DD a pear and heard her cheering on the Mo replays "come on, come on...you can do it...yaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyy!" :)

Looking forward to seeing what the closing ceremony is going to be like and hope that the para's get as much hype and coverage as this has.
