modern pentathlon was HOT so we only managed about 7 rounds in the stadium, then a couple on the screen outside - had 8 week old DD with us, and too hot for her really. DS (nearly 3) provided a running commentary too which must have annoyed everyone else - 'oh look, horse jumping over post box mummy oh no horse made it fall oh look a castle!' etc etc etc

the jumps were feeble looking and some of the riders were pretty bad - choosing poor lines, getting too many strides in, some very hesitant riding.

but it was a fun day out, and czech DH is happy with the winner :o
