Event starts at 9.30. Its a 3hr 10 journey. We have to be there for park and ride at 7!

7 is very early for the park and ride, did you have to book a slot? It's a 1km or so walk from the buses to the gate as well, in case you have little ones.

I would be wary of getting there too early. I went to the rowing there last week and we arrived for 9am and there were no significant races until around 10.30. Before that it was the races for places 14-26 or something. It was very, very boring. Check out the order of all events. I can't see why you need to be at park and ride so early? Though admittedly I was on the train and so have no clue

Early start notwithstanding, have a great time at Eton Dorney, Hmm!

am watching the vt with Nicola Adams- such a lovely woman. I might not appreciate boxing , but she is a fantastic role model for young girls, so positive and down to earth. It's making me cry (not helped by the fact the are playing the them tune from 'The Mission' in the background, one of my favourite films and soundtracks)

GB are out of the mens 4x100 relay after running out of their lane, and not passing the baton in the correct area of the track.

eek- very close to the board that bloke in the diving...

Rahh I'm watching from behind a cushion, it's scarier than any horror film! I love it when they do the ones that make them jump right away from the board and I can actually breathe :o

I'm going to miss the Olympics

Jumps for pentathlon are teeny! Kveta, hope your day has been brilliant.

Nasty upset with korean rider and the horse. Both seem ok though.

There have been some close calls in the show jumping- it's amazing though when you think they don't 'know' the horses. The Chilean rider early on was very funny- he looked like he had borrowed his (much fatter) brother's jacket- and rode hell for leather like a cowboy!

The Russians are closing in on our gold medals still- they seem to have left their best events til last to lull us into a false sense of security

We're lying 7th and 9th in the Pentathlon- c'mon you two!

Was rather unhappy with the standard of riding tbh, they weren't difficult jumps and even though they don't know the horses, a lot of them didn't seem to have a clue about riding them with confidence, not bullying.
