Life is full of unforgettable moments, each presenting an opportunity to dress in a way that reflects your personal style and makes you feel confident and fabulous. Boden understands the struggles we face trying to find the perfect outfit for life's key occasions; That's why they're turning to you, the Mumsnet community, to share your styling needs and challenges. Whether it's finding wedding looks that flatter a pear shape silhouette, navigating your postpartum wardrobe struggles, or searching for swimwear that compliments a smaller bust size for your upcoming holiday.

Share your fashion dilemmas, challenges, and everything in between in the thread below. Boden stylists will be reading your responses and creating a personalised styling video based on the most common styling needs, that are requested in this thread. One lucky MNer will win a £200 voucher for a store of their choice.

We’ll share the styling video on this thread when it is ready - Stay tuned!

What would you recommend for the best shapewear under a dress for a better silhouette - to minimise a flabby tummy ?

ohdannyboy · 23/04/2024 08:51

My dilemma is finding a petite fitting on the high street which has a good petite (5 foot and below) length - arms and hem - I buy so many petite outfits which I need to return or get altered.

DenDenDenise · 24/04/2024 10:44

How do I really know how to measure myself when ordering on-line - I have ordered a 14 and it feels like a 16-18 - other times a 14 feels like a 12.
Any tips on ordering a size 14 which will fit without the hassle of returning the item ?

Can I just ask what is the point of this thread? It seems to just be a lot of individual posts with minor wardrobe 'dilemmas' but no stylist feedback. How long will it go on for and what is the point?

RosaRoja · 28/04/2024 08:25

Good point. Who’s the lucky poster?

Quite right.
@MNHQ @geemumsnet surely a month is enough?

ILoveChocolateandCoffee · 02/05/2024 10:09

I am 5 foot tall and curvy it is a difficult shape to style. The waist sits wrong on larger sizes and I look like Im wearing a sack!

ketchuporbrownsauce · 14/05/2024 08:21

My dilemma is fabric which creases - I love cottons and linens in summer - just not how it looks after wearing a cotton or linen dress after a few hours - what fabric should I look for to stay cool and crisp ?

chickenpotnoodle · 16/05/2024 11:41

I hide my unshapely dimpled legs as much as I can - but would love to wear white linen trousers this summer - the last pair seemed to cling and were very unflattering - what style and fabric would be best

Marianus · 20/05/2024 01:54

The majority clothing brand seem to cater to either younger women or those over 60. It leaves women like me, who are in their 40’s/50’s struggling to find clothing that is up to date without being suitable only for younger women.

Penguinsa · 20/05/2024 02:34

How to feel stylish / confident after breast cancer e.g. mastectomy, chemo hair loss, etc. Thanks

FancyBiscuitsLevel · 23/05/2024 06:51

Is this still going?

mine would be - swimwear that does have decent boob support, but no tummy control panel, I want lifted norks without the uncomfortable feeling of shape wear on my stomach.

PinkyBlueMe · 01/06/2024 18:56

My struggle is smart casual! I can do smart well enough, but anything else I just look scruffy or frumpy!
I also can never get the right footwear for a casual outfit. Trainers are often too casual, boots not ok for summer, and then I get stuck.

Ilovecrispstoomuch · 27/06/2024 17:25

I love colour and pattern, but tend to steer away from them thanks to large breasts. How can I have a change from my usual black or navy without feeling like a matron in a curtain?

lovemyflipflops · 15/07/2024 13:27

@geemumsnet has a winner been drawn for this one please ?

Montydoo · 05/08/2024 09:39

@geemumsnet another old thread with a winner not being announced, can you please look into this - thanks @@MaddyMumsnet @EllieSmumsnet

Montydoo · 05/09/2024 12:31

It would be a bit arsey of me to link to this thread on the new Boden sponsored thread. @maddymumsnet

https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/sponsoreddiscussions/5158707-pick-your-favourite-pieces-from-bodens-new-autumn-collection-ps200-voucher-to-be-won

But I might do it anyway if there isn't an update.

Thank you so much. Really lovely surprise. I’m going to a school reunion next week (I’ve posted for advice about this in “Style & Beauty”), and this will definitely help with some last minute wardrobe updates. Thanks again.

Britanniaa · 21/09/2024 17:28

Congratulations ! I love Boden

RosaRoja · 21/09/2024 20:01

Thanks @Britanniaa I last won something on MN about 9 years ago, so this was a nice surprise 🤞
