My son loves to follow the instructions on his Lego box sets however he’s now recently got into freestyle using Lego.

He has created some new characters to play alongside his Marvel and Star Wars Lego sets many of which are part animal

My sons (9 and 6) are obsessed with Lego. Our 9 year old just talked me through a whole series of superheroes with disabilities and their backstories this evening that they’ve just come up with together! They have also played with Lego a lot recently to help the Ukrainian little boy staying with us settle in and play with them, and to overcome any language barriers. Thank you team Lego (can’t upload pictures they have gone to sleep with the figures they’ve invented under their pillows) 🤣

I don't think there are many kids that aren't amazing & creative, its only us as adults that seem to lose it as we grow! lol.
My son used to have gerbils and would make them awesome homes to put inside their cage out of my old Lego!
My Kids love their Lego, but what makes it even better for me, is that most of the Lego my kids play with was given to me by my Nan back in 1986 lol.
My favourite thing my kids made me out of Lego was a birthday card, saying I was a 'Fab Mum!' x

We had so much fun this summer with Lego, my sons are 8 and 4 and are both huge lego fans. It's a toy they can play together and us parents get involved too as it brings back so many memories. Our favourites were, a castle, a rocket and some Spider-man art.

My sons both love Lego. My 5yr old son recently made a Lego dragon to fight his St George. I was feeling bad I hadn’t pulled my old Lego (which has dragons) out of the loft for him yet but love seeing his creativity in creating his own

We made a pirate treasure island. We have a LOT of Lego kits but it was really good fun going “freehand” on this one (especially with the Lego Friends girl, Stephanie I think?, zooming in on her surf board!

My son LOVES making his own uniquely designed Lego robots & then battling with them! He also plays the same game but with Lego vehicles which crash into one another - it's a game he can play with both Mummy & Daddy.. usually one of us is ruled out with other games - i.e. football (I'm too clumsy!) - with Lego, we can all join in! <3

ButterMyMuffin · 06/09/2022 07:57

My kids have a few lego vehicles, a campervan, police car and an ice cream van. They love creating lego obstacle courses and tracks for them. They also created a replica campsite of one we visited it. They made the wee shop, toilet block and play park.

My 12yr old loves amalgamating different sets! I think our favourite was a medieval castle come space ship which lived underwater!

Lowtidelooter · 06/09/2022 18:17

My five year old son is just getting into Lego, since a trip to Legoland over the summer he is really inspired. He loves building scenes with his Jurassic World Lego and is keen to get a Ninjago set next. He created this Jurassic World using pieces from lots of different sets!

My 4 year old has a great ability to follow age 5+ instructions to build things but more recently he is starting to build on what he has learned and construct his own vehicles, incorporating parts of different vehicles to create new ones, like flying cars.

nickkinix · 06/09/2022 22:02

My boys love Lego! They're also pretty big gamers, so what better way to combine the things they love?!
These masterpieces were made by Tobi (10) and Leo (9).

My two children spent a lot of time during lock-down rebuilding the lego sets they owned, then decided to put them all together in what we affectionately call the "Mega Model" - it's a mixture of sets plus their own work to make a massive woodland river type scene and has provided hours of entertainment!

My son likes to create scenes and make stop motion films! After watching a recent football competition, he was inspired to create his own stadium that we could play with and male a little movie!

My five year old enjoys after school LEGO club at the library. It inspires him to build more at home and he loves seeing everyone's creations on displays. This is the research centre he's building at the moment. He's really into marine science.

Dd4 is obsessed with firemen/women so uses her Lego to create different buildings or settings which are ‘on fire’ or creates an accident like a car crash and then whizzes her Lego fire truck (which we built together) to the various scenes to save different people. I blame fireman Sam! But it keeps her occupied for hours.

welshmardymum · 08/09/2022 11:04

My youngest is obsessed with Rome and all things Italian - no idea where it came from but i'm hoping for lots of free stays in Italy when i'm old and feeble! However she likes to create her versions of great Roman buildings, weve had the forum, coliseum and circus Maximas .... as we don't have lots of bricks she has to use her creative eye and sometimes cardboard boxes are also incorporated!

greenfinger5 · 08/09/2022 11:24

My grandson has been helping his uncle with a big Lego project, it has taken a while and I don't think they were to amused when Nanny big bum (me) knocked bits off when I walked past it!

My 3 grandchildren love playing and creating with Lego, my all time favourite creation was their Nativity scene made with the youngest duplo and yes The Joker, Batman and Superman were the 3 wise men!

My son loves his Lego and he's growing in confidence with it all the time. After he's made the item, what he likes to do, is take some of it apart - then find other bits of Lego he's put aside and make a different vehicle out of them. And tailor it to whatever task he has in mind; whether he's playing with it in the garden, or with his trains, etc.

It was his birthday on Tuesday (6th September) and he wanted a Sonic the Hedgehog set and it was 18+, so i thought he might need a bit of help, but he's completed it all independently. Bit by bit every day after school and he's really enjoying the endeavour.

Gotta be my grandson making my dog simba doing a poo, he was obsessed watching him go toilet lol

Legobaby · 09/09/2022 17:05

DS8 is so good at making Star Wars inspired machines suitable for space travel and warfare, featuring facilities for costume changes, self-catering, automated entrances… very impressive! He adores Star Wars and all things Lego. He would absolutely LOVE a Lego voucher 😍

My granddaughter found a spider last week in one of her Lego creations ( a pumpkin spider apparently). She was so thrilled that she is busy making creative spider homes from her Lego now, hoping to attract more
