After years of probably having to watch all sorts of wonderful and occasional strange children’s TV shows, it’s hard to not ending up having favourites...whether you love them in secret or not.]] would like to know which children’s shows you are more than happy to watch with your DC and why they’ve become your favourite.

Here’s what ]] have to say: “Now it’s the summer holidays, more and more families are streaming children’s shows such as Shaun The Sheep, My Little Pony, The Penguins of Madagascar and Just Add Magic. It’s great when you find a show that you can enjoy that works for both child and parent, and we would love to know what these shows are for you and your family.”

Has Dora the Explorer been an all-time favourite of yours for years because you end up learning things too? Perhaps you love trying to figure out who the baddy is in Scooby-Doo along with your DC? Maybe seeing Tom & Jerry on the screen always brings back some great nostalgic memories of when you were a child? Or do you love Postman Pat purely for the great theme tune?

Whatever your favourite children’s programme is, share them on the thread below to be entered into a prize draw to win 1 of 3 Amazon Fire Kids Edition Tablets, made just for kids.

Thanks and good luck

I like show me show me as it’s interesting.

There’s lots of shows that have a good start and then my LG doesn’t want to watch but I want to know what happens!

Cheerupeveryone · 12/08/2018 14:12

Another vote for Ben and Holly :)

Pillowaddict · 12/08/2018 14:13

Ever after high is actually very watchable! I also really quite like Ben and Holly, very funny.

misskatamari · 12/08/2018 14:16

My favourite is team umizoomi (Altho the original American version not the awful dubbed English accent one). The kids have learnt so much about shapes, numbers and patterns from it, and it's just generally lovely

KlutzyDraconequus · 12/08/2018 14:57

My little pony is one of the best TV shows ever, not just out of kids shows either.

There's loads of kids shows that are better than grown up stuff.
Hey duggee, Ben and Holly, adventure time, SpongeBob, Dexter's lab, Powerpuff girls etc.

maureen3733 · 12/08/2018 14:58

compy99 · 12/08/2018 15:06

sophiefx · 12/08/2018 15:43

I love a bit of Peppa Pig! :-)

Browny572 · 12/08/2018 15:47

Timmy Time - so simple but so funny! Always makes me chuckle that no actual words are said but everyone knows what is being said! All the animals are really cute too!

Rubyslippers7780 · 12/08/2018 15:50

Shaun the sheep! Totally awesome... my boys love shaun..to the point we have named a local swan 'shaun the swan'.... not sure why they ignored the sheep though....

feefeegabor · 12/08/2018 15:51

I used to love watching Scooby Doo with my daughter - took me right back to my childhood! We are now enjoying the first and second series of Grange Hill - fabulous stuff!

Visioncroquet · 12/08/2018 16:03

H20 Just add water, I watched them all with my daughter. Loved aussie shows when I was younger I so it reminded me of shows like PugWall & round the twist

derekthe1adyhamster · 12/08/2018 16:07

Yo ho ahoy. We loved that when DS was tiny. Because it has no words, it can be enjoyed from a really young age. A bit like pingu. Another favourite

jamiethepaper · 12/08/2018 16:13

Peppa Pig and Paw Patrol

boptanana · 12/08/2018 16:17

I like the worst witch 🧙‍♀️

wooohooo · 12/08/2018 16:17

I used to secretly love watching Rosie and Jim as we all got excited to see what they got up too

RosaMallory · 12/08/2018 16:38

Horrible Histories because it was funny.
Spongebob because he has great work ethic.
Monsters versus Aliens, the Despicable Me films, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs films, Paddington films, Harry Potters...
We stopped watching Peppa Pig a while ago but I liked them.
CBeebies had a programme called Big Babies, with adults heads put on babies bodies. I loved it, dcs less so. I found it on YouTube last year and watched them again. Much to the disgust of my 13 and 10 year olds!

EmilyKEDB · 12/08/2018 16:53

Peppa Pig cracks me up. The introduction of Freddy Fox and Wendy Wolf and their families was genius, it makes me laugh every time. The grown ups reactions to stuff is hilarious. For example:

"You can whistle because you're very old, mummy"
"Thank you Peppa"

made me laugh for ages because it's exactly what I would have said and the face I would have pulled.
