i cant find my original thread regarding statement

anyway it was needing complete re write i sent back highlighted pages and lengthy letter saying what i wasn't happy with etc

well i phoned today as had nothing back and apparently am getting a re written statement sent out in next couple of days with the changes that i have asked for

so fingers crossed this one will make more sense and the changes will be right for him i can only hope

i was surprised no meeting was needed lets hope this one covers all his needs though the last thing i want to do is appeal it again

J was turned down twice in the year before he started school as he was young...applied for SENDIST Tribunal and wrote to MP who wrote to the LEA and then they agreed to assess without Tribunal (cos they knew they would lose).

Assessed him and gave him 23 hours of support! Statement arrived the month he started Reception.

Then in Y2, I wanted the hours upped - LEA refused, so I filled in the SENDIST appeal form and wrote to MP again, who wrote to them and they gave in without Tribunal (again, cos they knew they would lose).

Aged 7, J now has a 37.5 hour Statement for 1:1.

MP was really helpful and yours might be too. Filling in the appeal form shows that you're serious and it's likely they will agree to assess. Good luck.
