I have realised today that DS hasn't been invited to any parties this year whatsoever. I don't know if it because he has CP or what... Dh thinks its because I am a bit strange myself and scare the parents off I think its because DS's CP is more noticeable this year and people are worried about having him there IYKWIM. I feel so sorry for the lad, I think I will have a HUGE party in december for his birthday...

On the allergy front, a friend of mine has a ds who used to have egg and milk allergy and I had no qualms about inviting him to DS1's 3rd party. By then the allergy to cooked eggs had cleared up so I made the effort to cook a cake with dairy free marg and used same for sanwiches, biscuits etc, plus checked crisps etc for dairy additives. That's all really easy (did it with some advice from the mum) and I thought nothing of it, at least he was able to enjoy the party food!
Why wouldn't anyone do that?
I know the mum was used to taking food along to parties for her ds, what a nightmare. Luckily all his allergies have now cleared up.
Lou, so glad your ds enjoyed his party, bless him.
