okay - if you care..... I have three weeks to go until due date - according to the consultant - could be anytime now.....

jobs completed: bought the basinette matress!!

to do - paint trim in baby's room, make cover for basinette, REST, set up furniture in baby's room!!

Figured this would stop me hijacking other threads....

jimjams - how long for you?? I am sure you told me - but I keep forgetting. Luckily I have regular med appts or I am sure I would forget who I was!!

eidsvold · 04/11/2004 19:57

due day today - already 5th Nov here .... have some sudden swelling in feet so off to the GP just to get my blood pressure checked - to be on the safe side

nary a twinge......

OP posts:
lou33 · 04/11/2004 20:42

good luck!

eidsvold · 05/11/2004 08:03

all checked out - not helped by a fall down the stairs on the way to the docs.... all is well but baby is very happy in my belly apparently - blood pressure a little up but given that I had just fallen down that was to be expected .. no protein in wee so that is a plus.

BUT at least I know by this time next week baby will be here one way or another....

misdee · 05/11/2004 08:07

coppertop · 07/11/2004 12:39

You're probably sick of everyone asking by now but how are you doing? I hope the fall wasn't too painful.

Thomcat · 07/11/2004 18:09

eidsvold · 07/11/2004 21:30

lota of twinges on and off last night but nothing this morning - baby was less engaged on Friday than it had been for a couple of weeks - got me down....been feeling nauseous all weekend so hopefully things get started naturally - just don't want to be induced etc ... will have more news tomorrow after I see the consultant - unless babe decides to appear.... perhaps it is waiting for remembrance day 11/11

so sorry to disappoint - it is getting a bit boring now.... have had words with the babe and let them know what I would like.... for what it is worth.

OP posts:
eidsvold · 07/11/2004 21:30

OP posts:
Dingle · 07/11/2004 21:31

Thinking of you.

eidsvold · 07/11/2004 21:31

on the plus side - dd crawled about five or so steps yesterday...

OP posts:
coppertop · 07/11/2004 21:35

Well done to dd!

We'll start sending labour vibes your way then. Contractions....contractions...contractions...

Working yet?

Dingle · 07/11/2004 21:39

Oh dear, nedd a few more vibes than that!!!
Got a long way to travel.

Contractions,,,contractions...

eidsvold · 07/11/2004 22:05

oh I wish Other plus is it has been coolish and rainy all weekend.... so I have not had to contend with the heat...

OP posts:
eidsvold · 08/11/2004 21:41

NO I am not in labour

NO - my waters have not broken

YES - I am still here....

can you tell I have had a few phone calls lately Poor dh I make him answer the phone and say the above.... he can also add that he too is sick of waiting.....

Mind you - only 4 days overdue but it seems like I have been waiting for this for an eternity...

when you all wake up tomorrow morning I should have some news for you - seeing the consultant later today where they will make a decision on what will happen.

But hey thanks for asking - thought I better not hijack those other threads

OP posts:
lou33 · 08/11/2004 21:47

I am checking in every day waiting for news, but I promise not to call you!

eidsvold · 09/11/2004 08:50

well saw the consultant today and the baby is has gone from being 1/2 engaged to not engaged at all and even bigger than expected...

SO

unless something happens beforehand I am having a caesar first thing Monday morning 15/11.

bit disappointed but am able to come home sooner than expected if no complications.... and the 6 weeks recovery period is no longer the deal - should be right for driving sooner.

Am having my 'named' consultant do the surgery - very lovely man who I feel very confident with - he even expressed that he knew I would be disappointed with having the caesar and acknowledged what a big step it was for me to make the decision. He also trained in the UK and worked for ages in the Uk before emigrating with his aussie wife to Aus.... ( sounds familiar )Was at Chelsea and Westminster for a number of years as well as other hospitals... what a coincidence....

OP posts:
lou33 · 09/11/2004 08:51

Good luck for monday then! Would you like something to happen naturally now the decision has been made, or would you be happy to wait?

eidsvold · 09/11/2004 08:53

resigned to it now - if something happens beforehand well that is okay too...
