Has anyone heard about MRT brain therapy and how effective it has been for Autistic kids in the USA?

I'm not shocked. OP, this board gets this kind of thing a lot. People parachuting in with some far-fetched suggesting that we should research something bonkers, and we are just far too busy chasing interventions and therapy that we know would benefit our kids to waste time on snake oils.

If it weren't snake oil, we would either have a)heard of it, or b)have links to credible research.

It's times like this that I really miss Dolfrog Sad I disagreed strongly with a lot of what he said but he was able to provide a lot of back-up to what he said which meant that researching his suggestions was extremely valuable use of time regardless of whether it led to agreement.

I put tin foil on my boys' bedroom window to protect them from the supermoon. I swear they're both less autistic for it Hmm

I give my ds dates, as they contain oxytocin, which may help him with his social skills. (btw I am serious)

ouryve · 29/09/2015 19:13

They just make DS2's nappies rather unpleasant!

QueenStarlight · 29/09/2015 20:25

Why would you hope they have an open mind though? What is it to you if they have or they haven't?

I'm not understanding what you WANT? Please explain so we can help you.

Open mind- not agreeing with someone but moving on to what you agree with without judgement or throwing mud at them just because you don't agree.
From what l have read online about this treatment- Some don't agree with it which is fine but some parent have stories of how it has helped their kid.
At the end of it all, We all have the freedom to choose and express our thoughts without any kind of malice...
You all still cant see how you are coming across with your responses to me...
Ps- l can ask a question and expect people to answer with decorum or move along if not interested.

At the end of the day, This is my chat and you all can get out of it without commenting... It might not be educative enough for you. I am not the originator of the therapy, get info yourself and if not just don't comment.. Its very simple really....

I don't have any personal connection but is that the only criteria for coming on here???????????????????????

OP posts:
Kidsmyworld · 29/09/2015 21:18

As much as l cant control who comes here to respond,We are all adults and some kind of civil response is not too much to ask... I am not for or against this treatment but at the same time l would not be judgmental towards any one who does or doesn't...

I am moving on now....
This is complete waste of my time...
You can run along now and form the mean girls club where you can attack anyone asking questions or stating an opinion you all don't agree with......
