Ok, I don't want to rejoice as I feel brutalised but I have an amended statement in my hand with an out of school package on it for DS.

SEVEN months after he left school.

They say they have agreed direct payments too - well we'll see.

But thank you all. Thank you Wet and Agnes and Star and Towie and Senmerrygoround and so many others who have been kind enough to support me - always. I am so sorry if I've missed your name out - I am full of cold.

You are special, special people.

I'm so so happy for you and DS!!!!

You are special too IE (and everyone else). Without people on this board I would have given up at the height of my battle.

I'm raising a glass (or three) of Wine to your DS's much much brighter future

IE Thank you for sharing. You're had an unbelievable amount of shit to deal with, - simply because you continue to go down hidden alleys that should not be hidden. But you're an inspiration.

Congratulations.

(I have some good news too if you care to pop into the Goose Smile)

inappropriatelyemployed · 13/12/2013 19:15

And Polter too.....xxxx thanks xxx

Popping over to goose

Thanks for letting us know. Well done! I won't go overboard because I can tell you're a bit battered, but here's a quiet glass of Wine

inappropriatelyemployed · 13/12/2013 19:47

And Lougle too..... So many people I forgot to mention!

Honestly, I am battered. Three Tribunal appeals in 3 years (none went to a hearing). Two judicial review applications (none went to a hearing). Three LGO complaints.

That is alongside a pending two year PHSO investigation and the ICO business.

But as Mandela said "The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.”

And we will rise because we have each other. XxxThanks

It's all crap tho isn't it. We shouldn't have to do this. My Tribunal "win" was 4 months ago and DS now is totally in the right place. But still I rage and rage against this corrupt broken system and the new horrors yet to come next September. Then I read the tweets of a certain smug lawyer and I'm driven to utter utter red-mist rage.

I'm so happy for your DS IE and that he finally has a future. My DS has been in the right place for exactly one term and I have a totally different child to the wreck the Judge sent there 3 months ago. He'll never be "fixed" (I don't think I want him "fixed"!) but he won't become a broken young adult either.

Enjoy your weekend IE!

abigkerfuffle · 13/12/2013 20:10

Wow - it's great for you to finally have some good news after all the support you've given on here Flowers

inappropriatelyemployed · 13/12/2013 20:10

And then you get the BS sel-pitying posts on Twitter about those poor LAs!

OP posts:
wetaugust · 13/12/2013 20:10

Yay! Great news IE. They've rolled over and had their tummy tickled just in time for Christmas - great timing Grin

Time to lick your wounds (I find wine helps greatly when doing this).

So glad you got exactly what you wanted.

Let's hope next year is a little quieter Grin

StarlightMcKingsThree · 13/12/2013 20:13

IE He doesn't believe what he writes. All his tweets are a part of a marketing strategy. Don't get sucked in.

He believes what he writes as much as SEN Case Officers believe they have the child's best interest at heart.

It's a game. A very profitable game.

inappropriatelyemployed · 13/12/2013 20:23

I agree completely Star. I'm not sucked in at all and why would he be on there but to promote himself? It is weirdly refreshing to say things publicly to him though don't you think?

OP posts:
inappropriatelyemployed · 13/12/2013 20:24

Thanks wet - and for all the help you have given me x

Hope all is ok with you?

OP posts:
TOWIELA · 13/12/2013 20:24

I'm glad you said that Star - that it's marketing strategy. Because some of the tweets are half-way decent and so easy to get sucked in. But then he chucks in a bomb of a tweet which shows him in his true colours.

inappropriatelyemployed · 13/12/2013 20:25

But he's a lawyer. He has to look 'fair' but we know what they do and who they really are.

OP posts:
StarlightMcKingsThree · 13/12/2013 20:27

He wants to appear reasonable in the most unreasonable system ever. He can't defend poor practice otherwise he'd lose credibility with those why buy his services.

Yes IE It's refreshing to speak in that way. Though I don't think his invitation was genuine.

inappropriatelyemployed · 13/12/2013 20:29

No Star, honestly, I know this full well. I wasn't expecting him to follow up on his offer.

Note that we can all tweet in a reasonable way! And you have to be careful what you say publicly. But it is a good way of commenting in his steam of self promotion.

I have no illusions about the reality. Honestly.

OP posts:
StarlightMcKingsThree · 13/12/2013 20:31

Course not. Important to say it though, lest anyone think it was anything 'other' than marketing.

TOWIELA · 13/12/2013 20:33

I really want to take him up on his invitation. It'll take some doing to get there for me. But it would be worth going. In RL I'm as meek and as mild as they come and am used to sitting very quietly in many many professional meetings simply observing. So I'll just quietly sit there making notes [evil grin]

Yes IE, a couple of times I haven't tweeted what I really thought! I've had to walk away from the keyboard a few times too as I am very mindful that he's a lawyer and I am not!

StarlightMcKingsThree · 13/12/2013 20:37

He was bluffing when he made the offer. I doubt he expected a positive response. He 'scary lawyer', we 'timid cross parents'

Blimey zzz, how could I forget you?!!

Star you do dead right to raise this and warn people as some might not know who he is.

I would go and take notes!!
