something that has been said about dd2 before now. i dunno, does she? i dont think so, but she does have a bit of a 'look' about her. i dont think she looks like she has DS, but there is soemthing 'otherworldly' (lol, no other way to describe it, not i na bad way either) about her. she looks like me, but not really IYKWIM. i am trying hard to word this so as not to be insenstive, but its hard. i dont mean to be honest. just finding it hard.

Misdee
Both ds1 and ds2 to a lesser extent have epicat-wotsit folds and wide nose bridges.
Both big boys (someone mentioned size earlier)

she is gorgeous

geekgrrl · 10/02/2006 18:12

ok, well, just to say it again - kiddies with DS are usually tiny. So much smaller in fact, that they get their own growth chart inserts for the 'red book'.
Dd2 is a very cute little squirt.

sharonkitten · 10/02/2006 18:14

Agree with geekgrrl - my dd is 13mths old and was weighed just before her first birthday and was just 14 1/2 lb, so really teeny. She still fits into some 3-6mth clothes, bless her!

Wallace · 10/02/2006 19:52

Just curious geekgrrl, your dd is 5 in March isn't she (the things you remember!)? Do you mind me asking how tall she is? Dd is tiny - she will be 5 in June and is only 96cm tall!

alexsmum · 10/02/2006 20:05

misdee- just looked at the pics of your dd and she doesn't look like she has downs AT ALL!!!!!!
if anyone says 'does she' just laugh! of course she doesn't!

geekgrrl · 11/02/2006 08:49

wallace, she's the same size as my dd then. Dd has just hit 100cm.

Wallace · 11/02/2006 09:31

Thanks for satisfying my curiosity geekgrrl Just measured dd and she is now 98cm - I hadn't measured her since October! She gets her height from me - I was aout the same height at that age, but ended up a very respectable 5 foot 3

Dingle · 11/02/2006 09:34

I know some of you have seen pic before, but have a look at my little madam here in "my darlings album!"

I am trying to load a few more of when the children were younger. I think the severity of Amelia's "DS features" (!!!) IYSWIM, very much depends on the photo, and how she is feeling. The most recent one is the one of her in her nursery uniform- she she started saying "cheese" but bless her, it was the day she was sent home because she was falling asleep. Full of cold and very heavy eyed!!!

Amelia is exceptionally tall for her age. At 4yr3months she is 106cm.

They are gorgeous Dingle!

geekgrrl · 11/02/2006 09:54

dingle - gorgeous girly and lovely cards, too.

Wallace, sounds like she is just the right height then. She's always been quite little, hasn't she? (I remember you from the ParentsPlace heart defects board, many years ago)

Wallace · 11/02/2006 11:40

Eeeek! That is scary you remember me! I can hardly remember myself!

You are right she has always been little.

Dingle - they are lovely!

sharonkitten · 11/02/2006 15:18

dingle - she is gorgeous.

We always think Tanzie looks like she has more like she has DS when she is tired, dont know why but she does.
