Ok, well I am going to flounce now. So thanks for all the fun times guys Sad I've enjoyed my time here, but it's time to go

to bed.

PolarEyes · 24/09/2010 22:15

yes it does star, but it 3rd down the list (children in priority with siblings, all other children in priority area, then children with siblings in school outside of priority area). I think it is always oversubscribed.

SparkleRainbow · 24/09/2010 22:16

Feeling rather down tonight, think two glasses of wine has been rather depressive....anybody up for a hot chocolate?

AttilaTheMeerkat · 24/09/2010 22:17

Why do I now think that Tuesday is going to be one for the diary?.

I've never been invited to a SIP, never heard of it till secondary school sent me a letter inviting me to attend such a thing.

Now I know a bit more about what it is (thanks Starlight) I await this with an equal mixture of anticipation and reluctance. BTW my son is now in Y7 so this is why they're doing this now and I'm in sunny Essex.

Hope Legoland is good tomorrow Polar

waves to all.

AttilaTheMeerkat · 24/09/2010 22:19

My LEA is about as transparant as tinted windows!.

Lougle · 24/09/2010 22:19

Sorry, I was just being dramatic for attention Grin but really am tired. I have had a migraine for 3 days running. It finally lifted this afternoon, but have that groggy after-haze.

5inthebed · 24/09/2010 22:19

Grin Lougle

I am useless with chit chat. Probably because I am around children all day long.

AttilaTheMeerkat · 24/09/2010 22:21

Hi Lougle

Hope you feel better soon, migraines are indeed awful.

Night all

Militantendancy · 24/09/2010 22:27

Thanks Star - I think in the case of my LEA it is more likely to be a secret meeting of professionals to discuss how NOT to implement the new Statement!

Purple hair, fish with sticks, I can't keep up with it all on here!

DS will be up at the crack of dawn (or even earlier!)

So I am going to be a boring party pooper and slope off to bed too...

SparkleRainbow · 24/09/2010 22:28

Sorry I have been neither funny or chit chatty tonight, am going to go to bed too. Hope you are feeling better tomorrow Lougle.

PolarEyes · 24/09/2010 22:29

Ah found the starlight thread. have already told my visual aid tale of woe on another so nowt to add.

I'm in Essex too! Never heard of a SIP? DS1 has a statement for first time, is it something that happens at annual review?

Sorry for migraine, hope it clears asap.

I'm just working on a bottle of Bud then a hot choc may go down nicely Sparkle

Re school priority... Is there a category for exceptional social need supported by social worker letter? Now that'd be a nice cheap intervention for the SS dept...

Other option is apply for transport for dc, & be home from sibs school by the time the bus gets in.

mariagoretti · 24/09/2010 22:34

sorry, not great with chitchat either. I'll have a G&T with minimal gin but loads of ice please

HeftyNorks · 24/09/2010 22:36

Night night Lougle - hope the migraine goes overnight.

Who else is here from Essex? I am in Basildon.

PolarEyes · 24/09/2010 22:41

I've got bog all chance of getting transport agreed and I am too scared to go anywhere near SS. Sorry I sound so negative. I am sure I can work things out with his current school

Hi Hefty Knorks. I grew up in Billericay and lived around Basildon and Wickford before DC, but now live on/in the Dengie Peninsula. which is Burnham on Crouch/Southminster/Althorne and all the other little villages around them.

TheArsenicCupCake · 24/09/2010 23:34
