2lb loss. 100% on it as I don't want my actual eating to catch up with me
You can get a litre of unsweetened almond milk.
I personally have light soya (350) there is so much variety in plant milks and so many SW'ers are using it, it's worth considering x

seafoodeatit · 09/01/2018 09:39

Can I join in? I started last night and hoping to pick it up as I go along. I have 7 stone to lose to be comfortably in the healthy bit bmi, gulp?

B - an apple, it's better than nothing as I don't usually eat anything.

Crazy2yearold · 09/01/2018 11:57

Weigh in tonight Confused on my way to Morrison’s to stock up on free foods and going to bulk cook today so I’m prepared for the rest of the week no matter what my loss/gain is tonight. I can do this Grin

caremummy · 09/01/2018 12:26

B- overnight oats, so sweet from the s-f syrup with apple and raspberry - a winner - ate it in the small part of the lecture I stayed to (2/3 of syn)
L- came home by this time so shoved my packed lunch in a bowl and poured 5 syns of curry sauce over it - really improves a dish (5)

Hi all! Can I join you?

Started back again last Wednesday, first weigh in tomorrow.

I've been to Slimming World before and lost about 1.5 stone I think, then went away for the weekend, had a cheat weekend and didn't go back. I've been trying to lose weight my own way all year, but kept failing so think I've just maintained it.

Until about November last year, I gave up, said I was sick of it and was taking a few weeks out to eat and do what I wanted. So I did! And here I am 2 stone heavier :(

I love how I feel on SW though. I'm so full of energy and my skin is glowing already.

I also have crohns disease, and a bag, which makes eating raw veg or fruit very difficult. I can't digest them, so they come out the way they went in (tmi, sorry). So I need to chew them very very thoroughly or risk having a block in my remaining small bowel and hospitalising myself. Very challenging!

Today I had scrambled egg and tomatoes for breakfast. For lunch at work, I'm just having a smaller version of the dinner I make the night before. Today's was chicken kiev, cubed potatoes and broccoli.

Dinner tonight is creamy chicken and mushroom pasta from the slimming eats recipe.

I'm bridesmaid next April for my best friend so I NEED to do this.

Roll on weigh day!

caremummy · 09/01/2018 12:55

i'm sure you'll get a great loss xx
just had my joint favourite hexA(+1) apro soya vanilla - so nice

Testarossa1 · 09/01/2018 14:37

I've cooked up a storm today. I've made chicken and cauliflower curry (SW mag) parsnip and apple soup and butternut squash soup (online) I've had quick veg risotto for lunch with ham (online and free) plenty left over for lunch at work tomorrow too. For dinner we're having SW chips, sausages and dippy eggs (comfort collection book) with broccoli. Ive also got ingredients for ragu (online) to do in the slow cooker for dinner tomorrow with pasta. Trying to plan ahead!!

Hi Guys,

Sorry I’ve been so quiet, I’ve been busy at work and went away over the weekend to go to the family wedding I mentioned earlier on last week.

Despite the weekend, I’ve managed to stay on plan without giving into anything naughty. My only down fall at the wedding was alcohol, I didn’t touch any wine but despite asking for diet lemonade/tonic with my gin I’m pretty sure the bar staff were giving me full fat 🙄.

Today was my first weigh in, I’ve lost 3 pounds in total. I was a little bit naughty and jumped on the scales before going away on the weekend and I had lost five pounds between Tues - Sat. So slimming world is actually working out okay! Shock

I’m finding it harder this week, in my mind I thought I would see a bigger loss on the scales after all the prep and how strict I had been on myself but I know that wedding would put me off track.

Well done everyone on their losses so far, nice to drop by a week later and see everyone is still on it!

Crazy2yearold · 09/01/2018 23:06

So i weighed in this eve... half a pound loss Sad totally gutted in the meeting but came home and had warm tuna pasta with red onion and red pepper. It was amaze and there’s enough for tomo lunch so I’m going to take it to work with me. I was a bit gutted that the consultant asked me if I was happy with the loss in front of everyone. Next time it’s my star week I’ll defo bow out of the group chat as I’m clearly not happy with it and feeling hormonal as is it, I don’t need to sit there and tell everyone how bad my week has been. Oh well tomorrow is a new day. Congrats everyone of your losses fingers crossed I’ll be joining you next week Smile

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 11/01/2018 13:15

I went back to group for the first time in seven months last night. I am the heaviest I have ever been - embarrassingly fat. If I don’t do it properly this time then the health consequences will be huge.

So,I’ve done a healthy shop and planned for the week. Got a horrendous headache though which may be related to cutting down on caffeine.

RavenLG · 11/01/2018 21:45

Don’t be disheartened by the small losses. A dripping bucket fills a gap after all.
I have had a mostly good week so far.
Had an even at work on Wednesday I was coordinating and only have time to grab whatever lunch is on offer so crisps and sandwiches this time. Avoided the cakes and had an orange juice instead. I planned and put the slow cooker on for the evening so avoided getting something from the chip shop on the way home, and did a million steps running around. But I’m ill now so desperately trying to avoid the comfort food I’d usually reach for. Had soup for lunch and pasta for tea with a whole avacado but mags can get fucked if she thinks I’m sinning those bad boys

Crazy2yearold · 11/01/2018 23:32

@RavenLG that made me LOL. I felt the same about the real butter I had on my jacket potato earlier this evening Grin

RavenLG · 12/01/2018 13:20

Crazy Grin I feel the same. I’d muxh rather than “real” versions of food than the low fat, chemical versions (frylight is the devil as far as I’m concerned). Oh and don’t get me started on the “cakes” people make which is basically just eggs and a metric fucktonne of sweetener [bork]

fromtheshires · 12/01/2018 14:40

My first weigh in was on Wednesday after starting on the 3rd

7lbs off, a certificate and sticker and I feel great. I normally go it alone, but if there is a group of people there to hold me accountable and im also paying for the pleasure of attending so thats my motivation this time to see it through. Its also a very easy concept - eat 1/3 of your meal as speed and make sure you stay in your syns each day. I havent even felt deprived of anything.

For those dissapointed with their weight losses so far, a loss is still a loss which is better than a maintain or gain.

caremummy · 13/01/2018 20:37

such a good day on plan (2 syns) and exercising.
6 meals til weigh in Hmm

caremummy · 14/01/2018 22:55

4.5 syns and so much fruit and veggies 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽

RavenLG · 15/01/2018 12:54

Bah! Weighed in this morning and gained a pound. I was hoping for a loss but I did have a bit of a bad day yesterday, went for Sunday Lunch with a uni friend I’ve not seen in months and then to another uni friend’s baby shower and had a few breadsticks and some wine, then by the time I got home we decided to order a take away (chicken strips and chips). So hoping I can pull it back this week (but then I’m going home for a weekend and will be out Saturday night and have a proper mums Sunday lunch Sunday so it may not be any better!)

AineH · 04/01/2019 09:58

Hiya, Can I join?

Couldn't take another day of fatness so joined my local group on Sunday 30th Dec. Had a healthier although not 'on plan' NYE and started sort ofproperly'ish on New Years Day (No goosefat roasties, used Frylite, am I skinny yet?). I've gained 2 stone in 1.5 years, have a toddler and need to do this.
