Bingo I was saying the same as you for ages I seemed to have to lose loads before people noticed.

Another Syn value request - does anyone know how to work out the syns for the Prezzo pasta light, pancetta, pea and mushroom penne?

OwlinaTree · 17/11/2017 20:08

Hi all. Bad couple of days for me, been feeling really ill. Since I turned 40 I feel like I've been constantly ill tbh. Couldn't face eating much yesterday, a bit better today so having sw chips and chilli for tea. Hoping I'll want that when dh has finished cooking it!

Just feeling very bleugh.

Groovee · 17/11/2017 20:10

No idea PA. Thought these big chains would have had the syn values worked out somewhere.

Aww Owl, hope you feel better soon x

Do they have calories on the website? Apparently it's 20 calories per syn.

Groovee · 18/11/2017 07:31

The 20 calories per syn only works on things like cake, chocolate, crisps. There would have been free food in my lunch of the veggies, rice and fish.

Holyyy shittt I lost 5lbs this week! That's 26lbs lost with SW and four bloody stone lost since last November. I'm over the moon 😍😍

Groovee · 18/11/2017 10:25

Amazing @amused!!

TheImprobableGirl · 18/11/2017 16:32

What a fab loss amused !! Well done :)

amusedbush · 18/11/2017 17:19

Thanks everyone! I've been to group, had my haircut, went shopping for new work clothes, did a food shop and I'm just sitting down to my first food now 🙈 I had a coffee at 11am and nothing before or since.

Dinner is a massive chicken fajita bowl with SW chips, and for pudding I bought a little tub of custard to throw over a Fibre One bar 😍

FitbitAddict · 18/11/2017 18:51

Hi all

I've never done SW before, I signed up online on Thursday. I've lost 2lbs already! I'm finding the terminology a bit odd but I'm getting used to it, hopefully after a week it will be second nature. My diet is quite restrictive as I'm vegetarian and then developed an intolerance to eggs and soya a couple of years ago. I'm trying to find main meals that aren't as cheese-heavy as my usual diet!

OwlinaTree · 19/11/2017 08:46

Great loss amused.

Seem to be feeling a bit better today, breakfast going down ok anyway! I'm pleased I've managed to stick to plan despite feeling a bit grim, hoping for a loss!

thisgirlrides · 19/11/2017 09:38

Wow @amusedbush that's amazing and welcome @FitbitAddict.

Not a great weekend for me - dh's amazing but in no way SW friendly homemade pizza for dinner last night and Friday night I had the most awful pre-period / coming home after a night out (that I'd carefully tracked Sad) munchies and got through about 25 syns of junk in about 15 mins. So cross with myself. Back on track today and only compensating n is I have done 2 hour long runs so might have cancelled out a few calorie at least.

Just off to do my week meal plan so looking for inspiration Smile

Groovee · 19/11/2017 10:26

We’re having roast chicken tonight, burgers tomorrow, risotto on Tuesday, Wednesday is bacon and mushroom pasta. Thursday is slow cooker mac cheese at 1.5 syns. Then I am away. Having pizza on Saturday night made SW style.

I've stocked up on vegan quorn pieces that I can have with veg stir fry, vegan quorn fillets (with a coating but my options are limited so they will have to do) and made the chana masala from the latest magazine as well as the carrot houmous (work lunch when I work out what to eat it with - I usually use carrot sticks with houmous but that would be a carrot too far). I'll be chopping up mango and getting apple slices and grapes ready for my lunch/snacks tomorrow later on when I make DD's packed lunch.

Groovee · 19/11/2017 19:00

I need to organise a meal to reheat once I get to brownie camp on Friday. I don’t like SW ready meals. Any other suggestions?

i like a nice soup - but I've fallen so hard off the wagon this weekend I'm going to end up putting on on my first week back!

I'm such a lardarse Sad

OwlinaTree · 19/11/2017 19:53

Stuff like chilli reheats well could do a pouch of ready made rice with it?

Raisedbyguineapigs · 19/11/2017 19:54

Well done amused . What about chilli with rice mixed in? That travels quite well. I take it to work as leftovers quite often

Raisedbyguineapigs · 19/11/2017 19:55

Great minds Owlina Grin

@TheImprobableGirl don't be hard on yourself we've all been there (many times over I'm sure!). Draw a line under it and get back on track. I've had a shit weekend too & keep doing this: great mon-fri then totally off-piste at the weekend and struggling to lose. It's hard not to feel disheartened but I tell myself that at least I had a good Monday-Friday as that's how I put on weight in the first place!

I've had a productive couple of hours cooking for the week: 2 soups - spiced butternut squash & super speed soup plus a huge portion of turkey, red pepper & spinach meatballs in marinara sauce (dinner tomorrow with spaghetti plus another meal possibly with rice & something) plus chicken marinating for a stir fry. Need a couple more meals still but at least I'm on for a good start and know I can always have super speed soup over a jacket if I'm really stuck.
Hoping the washing up fairy will visit soon as it's carnage in my kitchen ShockGrin

ALemonyPea · 19/11/2017 20:36

I’ve had two fun weeks of surviving off a diet of honey sandwiches before my colonoscopy, and then a birthday where I ate like the chubby lass I once was. Back on it as of Tuesday and thankfully the bread bloat has gone.

Hope everyone is managing ok in the run up to Christmas. Something dreadful has happened, I no longer like sweet mince pies. I feel my taste buds have deceived me. Normally I could eat a whole packet in one sitting, now I cant even eat a whole one. They taste wrong. I hope the same doesn’t happen with Christmas cake.

Groovee · 19/11/2017 20:42

Thanks Ladies. I’m thinking of taking soup for Saturday lunch instead of the roll.

Might do pasta with mixed veg for ease.
