Hiya

Its nice to know others are around isn't it!

the usual for me today....

turtle23 · 02/06/2010 08:15

DS1 slept til 645. DS2 slept til 7(if youdont count 130 and 430 feed.) Am I dreaming?
Coincidence that we went to homeopath yesterday?

tinks27 · 02/06/2010 08:55

OMG thats brilliant news.
what did the homeopath dish out?!!!

i got a lie in too..5.55am this morning....almost 6 - yeh!!

Harimo · 02/06/2010 14:13

Oh, I am jealous of both of you!!

I had the night from hell last night... DS got up at 11pm.. refused to sleep in his own room, so slept in mine until 2am, when DD got up.. So I put DS back in his room and brought DD in with me for a feed / sleep... Until 4:30.. when DS got up !!

I managed to persuade DS to stay in his room listening to his Thomas stories until 5:55 when he got up and woke DD up!!

I have been good though, and took them both to the zoo to tire them out

turtle23 · 03/06/2010 06:47

I got my payback. DS1 started vomiting at 2. Fnished at 5. DS2 woke at 515 and is in a very chirpy giggly mood. Sob.

Shaz10 · 03/06/2010 06:50

Yesterday was 3.30 - 5.30, then 6am when he came in with me and slept till 8.

Today was 5am, then gave up at 6.30 and we're here now.

InmaculadaConcepcion · 04/06/2010 18:52

Couple of better nights here - my insomnia was a little better and the IBS likewise, so managed to get back to sleep after DD's multiple wakings... she's taken to not doing an instant resettle at about the 0530 mark, though - but usually an hour of me trying various means gets her back off to sleep. I say USUALLY

MrsMc82 · 04/06/2010 22:00

DS is 19wks old and am convinced him and our dog are in a pact to get up at 5am and wake us, if one doesn't wake then, the other does - DS by shouting and giggling loudly as he wants to play or dog by whining at bottom of stairs till we give him his bfast!!!!

And then they wake each other - its horrid! Was CONVINCED it was going to be solved and so got black out blinds for DS's room and the hallway (for the dog ffs?!!!!) And it didn't work!

Have had some sucess with double blackout-ness in ds's room, have put a gro travel blind up and he's not woken till 7 for last 2 morns and the dog didn't wake up either but fairly sure this is cos they're just teasing us!!

llynnnn · 05/06/2010 08:25

Can I join your pain?? dd2 is 11mnths and has been up at 5am for the last week or so now she's still shattered but refuses to go back to sleep, would rather pull my nose/wriggle and kick me/shout 'hiya' in my ear than settle for more sleep! By 7am shes falling asleep then dd1 gets up! arrrgggh!!
have black out blinds, tried porridge just before her bath to fill her etc etc

oh, and shes always up at least twice in the night too! I remember the days when i used to struggle to get up at 7am for work and NEED long lie ins at the weekend, those were the days!!

InmaculadaConcepcion · 05/06/2010 11:29

Yup, 5-ish this morning... Got DD back to sleep eventually, think maybe I dozed a bit afterward..it's a bit of a blur, really....

knickyknocks · 06/06/2010 05:59

I want to join this thread too please!!! Generally DD is up by 5.30am at the latest - in the past week it's been 5.10am - and now this morning was 4.50am...... AARRGGHHHH!!

I'm absolutely knackered. The people over the road last night had a party til 2am, and because it was so hot, I had the choice of keeping the window open but listening to bad karaoke OR baking in a room with all the windows shut.

Not impressed by my DD for the 4.50am wake up. She's got blackout blinds, and doesn't seem particularly distressed, she just plays very very noisily in her cot (ie you can't sleep through it). I'm going to read the rest of this thread now and make myself feel better that I'm not the only one (though I feel awful saying that as I know it's not good anyone else going through it either - I feel your pain!!!)

InmaculadaConcepcion · 06/06/2010 08:37

Not up since 0500 today, but might just as well have been! Very restless night - she was probably hot..... snore....

Tweetinat · 06/06/2010 12:18

Another on here - it's been getting progressively worse for me over the last few weeks. Friday 5.30, yesterday 4.30 and total 3 flipping 30 this morning! He is just wide awake and ready to play. It's killing me

tinks27 · 06/06/2010 15:49

hello
well good and bad.soooooooo happy as had a world record 6.50am this week.. then back to normal.zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

knicky knocks.. i never manage to sleep through the noisy chatting/playing either!

immaculada - glad ibs bit better.meant to say before i too suffer and its not fun!!

i laugh at the memory of lie ins. now 6am wake up is grounds to call for a party!! Now a 7am-er.. that surely would feel like that pre-kids 10am where ..'i've got a hangover and might just manage to stagger out of bed for a cup of tea' ........those were the days eh

knickyknocks · 06/06/2010 18:42

So true tinks27!! Nevwer thought I'd say 6am is a lie in - but it's pure bliss in comparison for the 5am wake up call. A male friend of mine, his wife recently became pregnant, and I said to him - get ready for those early starts....and this made me laugh - he said it's OK I already get up early for work at 7.30am!! Have a feeling his opinion of an early start may change in a few months...

Have put another black out blind up today to see if that makes a difference - so that's double black out blinds - it's pitch black in there!! Have no idea what I'll try next (bar from me going to bed at 7.30pm!)
