Beal, with the hot coco and the lush dad, you've got yourself a fine afternoon, no? I'll have one of both, please!

Amberjee · 09/11/2007 13:56

oooh lush dad sounds great. and maybe some choc with marshmellows too!

we are just organising world wide singing phone calls all day every hour for a friends birthday in Australia tomorrow. It's quite amusing and a bit tricky co-ordinating timezones as people will be calling from UK, Netherlands, India and Australia ...

RoRoMommy · 09/11/2007 15:07

Amber, that sounds like my job! What great friends you are...

bealcain · 09/11/2007 16:01

i want that for my birthday lol.....last year my sister bought me an alarm clock!!! ds1 was 14months and i was 7months pg!!!

Amberjee · 09/11/2007 16:09

LOL, if only being a lawyer was all about singing phone calls, maybe I'd still be one. Timezones, yes. Singing, sadly no.
Beal, how funny, an alarm clock. I suppose it gets points for irony.

tibsy · 09/11/2007 20:43

ive only skim read the posts i'm afraid, so i'm hoping you'll forgive me for a blanket for the good uns and for the rubbish ones.

MegBusset · 09/11/2007 20:48

Tam your fella is gorgeous.

Tibs hope DD sleeps OK... what is Prevana anyway? And yay for last night's sleep-through

Beal hope you enjoyed your hot chocolate I stop every day at Costa Coffee for one, which is maybe why the last few pounds of baby weight have been a bit slow to shift

Hope everyone else has a good night. LO is still coughing and has been a bit wheezy this evening, so if he's still sounding chesty in the morning I think we'll give him the antibiotics the doc gave us last week.

Right, off to kick back and watch Wednesday's Heroes, tara for now...

another fab night here - well, screaming session half hour after bed, but that doesn't count does it?! Up at 7.50am - lovely...plus...a 2hour (yes, that's two whole hours) of nap! blimey, i didn't know what to do with myself!!

welcome csb and urban

all this talk of slings - i never knew so many existed (and may just become a convert - haven't yet got around to buying a double pram yet- eekk!)but have got a coorie and a horrible tomy walkabout that requires a degree in engineering to get lo into it! Would love a pretty mei-tei (but am sure I would spend more time co-ordinating my outfit to match !

RoRoMommy · 09/11/2007 21:55

Night night everyone. Thanks for the hugs, Tibs, and for DD. Skirmish, we missed you! Meg, I hope DS sleeps well tonight.

DH just made a comment about how DS hasn't slept well for over a month and he feels chased out of his own bed. Oh well.

I hope DS sleeps better soon...I don't want to lose my DH cuddles, either!

[slinks off to sleep in a king sized bed with a pint sized little man]

bealcain · 10/11/2007 07:19

skirmish, if you need a double buggy i'm trying to get rid of mine. it's a cosatto duo tandem in black grey check. it;'s noyl been used a few times since i got slinging with ds2. its got an apron, 2 removable trays, 2 removable hoods, a blardy huge basket, and a mammoth raincover. i'll take anything for it! if you;re intersted give me a bell on 07845485355.

heehee i just posteed my mobile, i'm gona you lot ringing me at 3 in the morning now! lol. at least we'll be up together!

Tamdin · 10/11/2007 08:39

morning all. Tibs for dd injection.

ds not well again. we had 2 vom sessions last night but then he slept from 10-8 so no complaints here.

feel a bit queasey myself this morning so think we all must have little bug.

meg hope ds sounds bit btter this morning so you can avoid the ab's.
beal have good time and some R&R at your mums.

Roro hope your little man slept a bit better last night.

tibsy · 10/11/2007 08:50

hi ladies!!

beal - have a fab time at your mums. enjoy the break!!

meggy -hope your little man feels better today lovely

tam for your little guy. it seems so unfair for him. hope you all feel better quickly

skirmish for you lie in and 2 hour nap!! more of those i say

roro - hope lo played nice and you managed to get some dh cuddles too last night

well, our night didnt blow completely.
bed at 7.15pm
woke briefly at 7.45pm no biggie
woke at 4.30am for water
up at 6am for bf and the day
dp had her downstairs for a bit so i lay in til 7.30am (cant believe i'm classing 7.30am as a lie in nowadays )

we've had a bit of bad news, dp's sister has had to have an emergency hysterectomy as they found a growth. they dont know yet if its cancerous or not. it doesnt seem too long ago that his dad was rushed in with a heart attack cant quite believe it, but we're all staying positive and hoping that it wont be cancer.

Amberjee · 10/11/2007 08:59

hi everyone!

sending positive vibes to dp's sister tibs.

tam, oh no, all this sick business has got to stop.

beal, hope your mum looks after you and you get a bit of head space for a while.

RoRo, re your other thread about work etc, feel free to email me. i know the industry very well and know what it can be like, and have a few friends who jumped ship recently from the likes of Clifford Chance and Linklaters to in house corporate jobs where they work eminently more sensible hours and get paid the same if not more. In any event, I'm happy if you want to bounce ideas off me. amberjee at gmail dot com

Amberjee · 10/11/2007 09:00

hi skirmish, glad you are getting some sleep.

gingerninja · 10/11/2007 09:09

Tibsy, to hear about your SIL. I was only thinking about your FIL yesterday wondering how he was. Hope everything is ok.

We had a rather unsettled night with DD waking frequently but settling again quickly. Up for the day at 5.30 meaning she's back in bed already . Still think it's those blinkin' molars trying to make an appearence.

RRM, where do you work in the city? I'm at Old St, almost on top of the roundabout.

Tamdin · 10/11/2007 10:01

tibs for you sil. thinking of you.

ginger poor dd and those molars. when ds is teething he wakes frequently. he doesn't get the red cheeks, bad nappies etc just can't sleep. what a surprise!

morning amber skirmish and roro

hope i haven't forgotten anyone.
off to town to try and squeeze in a bit of xma shopping before ds's nap.
prob not the best idea as ds looks very peaky but dh wants to get this morning so am being obedient!

catch you all later

MegBusset · 10/11/2007 10:09

Morning all.

Tam you are organised doing your Xmas shopping now! I tend to have a mad flurry of internet shopping and get it all in one day.

Tibs for your sil, hope it turns out to be nothing serious.

Beal enjoy your few days' break.

Amber, I take it no news is good news and your night was a good'un!

Ginger for teeth and early start.

LO still suffering from cough and wheezy chest this morning so we've started him on the abs, and if not better by Monday we'll go back to the GP. Last night he was coughing a lot, so awake quite a bit, poor fella. Came in with us at 5 so at least we got an OK stretch from then til 8.

OP posts:
tibsy · 10/11/2007 10:11

thanks girls. we really appreciate those lovely thoughts

ginger for those molars. i hope they come thru soon.

tam lol at you being 'obedient'...next you'll be telling us youre a surrendered wife

hey amber, another good night? how did the telephone calls go?

we havent even started xmas shopping yet ....must get on it

tibsy · 10/11/2007 10:12

x posted meg thankyou my love. i hope the abs work some magic on your little guy

Amberjee · 10/11/2007 10:42

the calls are funny. he is being verrry patient with us. we've got a rendition of livin on a prayer to go at 11.30!

we had an alright night. ds slept until 4.30 (yay), but then wouldn't settle, did a poo, vomited on me, then back to sleep at 5.45 until 7.45. so was pretty good sleep wise, but could have done without being vomited on. rather amusing though, he was feeding lying over me face down because he refuses to be held these days and vomited while he was feeding must have gorged himself or something!

Amberjee · 10/11/2007 10:43

poor meg's ds. hope the abs will work for him.

RoRoMommy · 10/11/2007 10:47
