charliemama · 03/11/2007 14:26

Feeling crap . Ds2 has screamed at me all day. I am wondering how much more I can take.

Night was rubbish, can't actually remember times just know there were lots of wakings.

Sorry to sound so low, its how I feel.

PS: 3 dcs
Ds 1 = was 4 in June
DD = will be 3 in Dec
ds2 =18 weeks

charliemama · 03/11/2007 14:27

PPs live just north of Southampton

charliemama · 03/11/2007 19:39

Have I scared everybody away?!

I'm feeling a bit better. We went to a friends halloween/firework party, which I was dreading owing to ds2. But actually it was really nice to get out as a family and now all 3 dcs are in bed. Long may it last!

RoRoMommy · 03/11/2007 19:46

Charlie, so sorry you're feeling down. Really, I hope you can have a nap or something, though with three LOs I imagine naps might be a thing of the past? Here's for a good night tonight...

Tam and Beal, FAB nights! Good for you. A little sleep to go around for everyone (I wish it were like buying a round of drinks). Thanks, Tam, for the moral support. It's just rubbish having to leave DS with someone who isn't family, but being from the States and away from home means no family BUT mum is coming to live with us, surely v. entertaining posts to come from that.

Amber, fantastic Grey's Anatomy rundown...to give context to the Burke, Cristina thing, he left her at the altar, which is clearly the opposite of what you'd imagine. She was freaking, then Meredith got her together, then he came down the aisle and was like, if I really loved you I wouldn't ask you to do this so I am letting you go. Her breakdown scene will go down in TV drama history, they really left it open whether she was devastated or relieved. OH and big shocker, Meredith's mystery doctor sister is now on the show, Lexi Grey. AND she is the chick that McDreamy was flirting with at the bar, v. reminiscent of the first ep of the show. Grrr...though I was done with them, but of course am not. Oh, and the bar guy and his gay partner got the twins from the black woman, who almost died from a heart thing. Oh, and McDreamy got the chief of surgery position, but gave it BACK to the Chief, whose wife lost the baby but is now back with the Chief.

I think that covers it.

Here's to good nights for all!

RoRoMommy · 03/11/2007 19:47

Good for you Charlie! I am so happy to hear you're feeling better. Hooray!

EffiePerine · 03/11/2007 20:47

Well I am confused . Am completely behind with tv series, not having a tv but relying on dvds - gettin gback to series 5 of the west wing in a mo.

CM: for your night - hope you have a better one tonight.

DS slept for 2 hours this afternoon and so did I - hope this means an improvement tonight!

Tam: we've given up on the cot as well - I sometimes try putting him in it but he lasts for an hour max. Maybe that's the next thing to try [hmm[.

Anyway, we had a lovely day in the park playing in the leaves. Lots of fireworks but DS hasn't woken up yet

MegBusset · 03/11/2007 20:53

DS woken once tonight, not that bad I suppose given that we live right next to a park where the big local display is. I'm not sure me going "Shhhh!" at every rocket that goes off is helping, but it makes me feel better...

Your day sounds lovely, EP. (As does the two-hour nap.) DH took DS to the park while I stayed home and cooked for two hours, which was actually pretty relaxing!

CM sorry your night was crap, hope tonight is better.

RoRo where in the States are you from?

OP posts:
RoRoMommy · 03/11/2007 22:21

Hi Meg, I am with you on the shhhh's! We've got lots of local amateurs, v. annoying.

I am from Los Angeles. I really miss the sunshine...

Tamdin · 04/11/2007 08:26

morning all. am i first up and with a hangover too!

roro i'm confused did callie get chief of residency or not? did mcdreamie give it back to the chief and then the chief gave it to callie?

am hoping alex catches up with ava in next series

meredith and derek annoy me now. I guess that's the point. am sensing a mcdreamy or george and lexi grey story line which will push meredith over the edge!

anyway.........
good night here. dh and i went out for early dinner and drinks with friends. home for 10 so climbed in beside ds and we're both just up.

Dh is huge boxing fan so he went and slept in his dad's apartment so he could stay up late and watch a fight from america on setanta (his dad's apartment is literally across the hall from us...odd i know) and he hasn't materialised yet.

i managed to drink a glass of wine and 5 vodka tonics in 3 hours so feeling bit delicate today. off for tea and pancakes

Amberjee · 04/11/2007 09:21

ithought i saw callie get chief. but i am sleep deprived so don't quote me!!
i've heard rumours there is an alex/lexie scene next season. anyone know when it starts showing [embarrassed GA addict emoticon]

Amberjee · 04/11/2007 09:25

ok turns out i was getting mixed up btw chief of surgery and chief resident!

www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,20039420,00.html

charliemama · 04/11/2007 09:25

Ok folks can we please preface anymore GA info with a warning as I only have terrestorial telly so am obviously a season behind everyone else!!

Last night was better (puts on positive face) Ds2 went to bed at 7.30, woke at 9.10 (fireworks?), 1ish and then 5ish when dd got up and disturbed him. He started the day at 6, but has been quite grizzly. He's having a nap now so I'm off to have a shower.

MegBusset · 04/11/2007 09:52

Morning all.

Have never seen Grey's Anatomy . Is it good then? I have just got the first season of The Wire on DVD to start watching on Thursday when DH goes for his pub night.

Tam hope your hangover is clearing by now! Amazing to think I haven't been drunk in a year and a half. Just not sure I could cope with it now!

CM your night sounds like an improvement.

Amber hope yours was good too.

Ours was much better than the night before:
Bed 7.30 (with cough medicine but not Medised)
Woke 8 (fireworks)
Woke 12 (Medised and milk)
Woke 3 (v brief pat)
Woke 4 (Medised and milk)
Woke 7.15 for the day.

So if you take the fireworks and his cold out of the equation I think he's still doing OK.

OP posts:
Amberjee · 04/11/2007 10:33

CM and Meg, glad your nights are heading in the right direction.
I'm not going to report on my night lest I jinx it

tibsy · 04/11/2007 10:38

morning my lovelies and a huge thankyou for all the info on last GA girlies
meredith annoys the heck out of me with her whiney voice . burke is a real cutey patootie, didnt think theyd get wed tho.....

EP - hope you had a better one last night 2 hr nap yay

Roro roll call 1 ds 13yrs old and dd 14mths old Herefordshire

tibsy · 04/11/2007 10:39

amber i reckon you had a good un then hope so, you deserve it

RoRoMommy · 04/11/2007 13:51

Hello! Last night was a nightmare for me. DH slept in the spare room, or was it the couch, can't keep track, but did get up without a grizzle to take DS at 5am.

Bed 7:30, dream feed 11pm when I came to bed, then I had this feeling like insects were crawling all over me until 1am, no idea what that was about, when DS woke for a feed, I fell asleep finally until 3am, another feed, then awake for the day at 4:30am. DH took DS, who proceeded to be a teething maniac child until I finally took pity on DH at 8:30am, then I was awake for the day and trying to keep DS cool so DH could get some sleep. Poor bear, four teeth at once is a bit much for him.

DH=8 hours of sleep
ME= probably 3

And when he complains that he is tired it takes every ounce of my humanity not to smack him across the face and say, "come on! buck up already! we have a child, sleep is a thing of the past!" instead of "I'm sorry honey. You're so great."

So I am pretty tired.

Good for you on the great nights, well, pretty much EVERYONE! Meg, hooray DS is feeling better, CM sorry about the GA spoilers, Tibs, I agree with you about Meredith, but Amber I cannot agree with you on Burke, haven't felt a twinge toward him apart from the first sexy scene between him and Cristina, so Meg, you're not really missing much. I think the show is getting a bit old and grasping for drama. I mean, how many people in the group are going to sleep with others in the group, anyway? Is Cristina going to sleep with Alex now that Burke is out of the picture? But I am still hopelessly addicted.

Tam, am quite jealous of you drinky night out. Could use one myself, and with thousands of mls in the freezer DH and I could take a month of straight date nights but who has the money for that kind of childcare?

Tibs, that's a HUGE gap between kids? Please tell me you weren't so traumatized by the first that you waited 10 years before trying for the second? I must admit, I feel that way some days.

To sum up roll call:
Tibsy: 1 ds 13yrs old and dd 14mths old Herefordshire
CM: PS: 3 dcs
Ds 1 = was 4 in June
DD = will be 3 in Dec
ds2 =18 weeks
Beal: 2 ds, 1 was 2 at beginning of october and ds2 is 8months, 1 in feb! in ramsgate, kent
Amber: 1 DS 10 mo N. london (we must get together)
Tamdin: 1 ds (2 on 25th jan), in ireland

MegBusset · 04/11/2007 14:20

I've got one DS, 8 months.

OP posts:
tibsy · 04/11/2007 15:05

roro - nah, not traumatised at all ds was a fantastically placid baby who slept like a dream, dd is nothing like him personality wise yet looks the absolute spit of him.

bealcain · 04/11/2007 20:40

hello all, sorry to have beena bit scarce today me and DF had an ultimatum! we're still together ATM! last night was FANTASTIC! we went to watch some fireworks. ds2 fell asleep during thme at about 8, got home about 8:30 both went to bed and didn't wake till 7!!!!!!!!!! lets hope it lasts. my second great night in a row,. i am however, shattered due to lack of lay in this morning!

hope everyone is ok and feeling really left out over GA thing!

anyway hope you all have great nights....

x x

charliemama · 04/11/2007 20:49

Are you ok Beal. Re DF?

gingerninja · 04/11/2007 20:51

Hello all, just a quickie. Crappy night. DD poorly again with another cold and teething like mad. Meant she was awake quite a bit in the night and very unhappy most of today.

We've finally collapsed the cot and have got a large and proper matress as a bed for her which we can comfortably join her on in the night. Makes all the difference. Got fed up trying with the cot.

I'm going to pop to my mums for a couple of days tomorrow so will be back in touch later in the week. Hope you have some sleeptastic nights while I'm gone.

RRM, I have a 14 month old DD and live in Essex.

gingerninja · 04/11/2007 20:52

Xposted what's up Beal?

charliemama · 04/11/2007 20:53

Enjoy your time with your mum Ginger. I hope you can get some rest.
