Meg, hope he's better soon.

tibsy · 31/10/2007 12:52

awwww, thanks guys, youre just he best
dragged myself out to M & T's despite feeling like death warmed up, and i'm glad i did dd just had her food, medicine, bit of boob and shes asleep, gonna grab some food myself then read or nap!

tam am so chuffed for you. just shows you that you were right to listen to your instincts and slowly, slowly, catch ye monkey gives us all hope that we're doing the right thing and are not just 'wimps'!!!

welcome reesie. you're in good company here!!

charlie for the regression. we will join the land of the living one say i popped round to my friends before the group, and, as we were leaving, i tried to put dds coat on instead of mine!!!!

EP for los teeth. its that with dd too bless lo and his muesli!!

hi amber - i want to go out with my dp too, seems we're always out separately!! maybe you'll get a chance when you go to visit in Aus?

meggy - just looked at your other post for poor lo and you, that must have been so scary. glad hes slightly better. any clue what it was?

beal glad youve had a chat with df. helps to clear the air and get an idea of where you both stand

ginger you got some sleep. dp was out last night and came home just as dd was settling back down, grrrrr. i'm supposed to be going out tonight for tapas with the girls, so i may 'accidentally' fall asleep on the settee and leave dp to deal with night wakings [naughty partner emoticon]

chibi - hope your cycle changes to great night/great day soon!

phew!!! that was an epic post off to get some rest x

charliemama · 31/10/2007 12:53

Poor you Meg. I hate it when mine are ill. I am getting more used to it now though. My Dh tends to freak out more than me. Hopefully with some rest and meds this will pass soon.

I am feeling really low today Ginger. i have posted under behaviour, but not many replies. If I could describe how I feel at the mo. It's like I'm in a separate room to everyone else watching, but I can't get in and join the fun. Having a baby wasn't supposed to be like this.

You sound like your having rough nights and days to, so you have my full sympathies. I can't offer much advice because my other dcs were lovely around about a year. I think this is why dc3 has hit me so hard. being number 3 I thought I knew what I was doing and it would be much easier. I think he is actually the hardest of the lot!!!! I hope it is teeth for you, cos at least it will be over soon! Something I saw once was to let them gnaw on carrot sticks from the fridge. Never tried it myself so I can't say if it helps or not!

tibsy · 31/10/2007 12:54

oh meg, poor lo. i hope he feels better soon. i think you're right, see what hes like after nap, if in doubt tho, i'd get him down to the hospital, if only to set your mind at rest ((((hugs))))

charliemama · 31/10/2007 13:02

hello Ginger: I think you looked at the wrong thread!

charliemama · 31/10/2007 13:04

I would put a link but I am completely technically dyslexic!!! Its under beaviuor and I can't even remember what i called it!! Something like 'I feel like crying'

Tamdin · 31/10/2007 13:33

here

charliemama · 31/10/2007 14:10

Thankyou Tamdin. Must learn how to do that some day!!!

Tamdin · 31/10/2007 14:17

no probs cm. you have my utmost respect and sympathy that you are coping so well with 3 children!!! give yourself some credit.

ds is just coming out the other side of the 'when will my life be normal again' phase. Life will never be normal normal again but i'm starting to feel like i have a social life and am back at the gym etc.

your ds will come through this i guess it is just a waiting game.
if yo have your mum and freinds nearby make sure you use them!
I know you're bf'ing but if you could give ds to your mum with a bottle of ebm for a couple of hours it could really help.
do your other 2 go to nursery/school?

charliemama · 31/10/2007 14:33

Thankyou Tamdin for your kind words. Ds1 is at school and dd is at preschool 3 mornings. Sometimes its a pain though to have to go out to drop them off or pick them up as it disrupts ds2. (he doesn't like his carseat). We are starting to get used to it though and a friend is taking ds1 to school in the morning until xmas which really helps. But I know he'd rather I took him which makes me a bit .

MegBusset · 31/10/2007 15:54

CM so sorry you are feeling down. You are doing an amazing job, some days I feel I barely cope with one, let alone three. It will get easier with your DS2 I promise.

Amber and EP hope you had fun at your music group.

Beal v of your upcoming trip to Vegas, I've always wanted to go! Don't spose I will for a few years now

Gave DS some Calpol after Nurofen which seemed to cool him down, now he's back in bed for a quick nap to get him through til bedtime. Will Medised to the eyeballs tonight and hope he's all fixed in the morning.

Ok you baby wearers which sling do you recommend? Ds2 likes to be looking at the world.

bealcain · 31/10/2007 19:19

Charlie, what sort of thing are you going to use it for? we've got three. a ring sling - a maya wrap, which is useful for quick ups and downs, like getting out the car and into somewhere. i have a moby wrap, which is a stretchy one, great for forward facing, and many other positions, and a woven wrap which i use to carry LO on my back!

gingerninja · 31/10/2007 20:09

Beal, you're a proper sling maniac . I've responded on your other thread but we have a maya and and ergo. In a month or two he could go on your back so look into one that can be versatile. Sending happy, healthy and sleepy vibes to ya'll.

bealcain · 31/10/2007 20:32

ginger - which other thread?

i am addicted, it;s offical, jsut ordering my next one.....only bee babywearing for 5months!

MegBusset · 31/10/2007 23:51

Just got back from A&E after spending the whole evening there... LO came out in a rash on his arms at 7 so we rushed him off to casualty

Got rushed through but the doc on duty said he didn;t think it was meningitis, then waited two hours for triage then another two hours for paed... anyway she reckons it's an ear/nose/throat infection and the rash is viral. Poor DS managed to have a nap around 10 in his car seat but then woke and screamed the place down while the paed poked around at him in a rather ungentle manner

He is tucked in bed now having been dosed with Calpol so hope tomorrow is better!

Anyway I'm sure you are all long since asleep, DH just making cheese on toast as it's too late for pizza delivery!

RoRoMommy · 01/11/2007 05:04

hi, checking in for the morning shift with a wiggly ds on my knee...anyone else up?

RoRoMommy · 01/11/2007 05:14

Meg how is you LO?

Amberjee · 01/11/2007 07:18

poor you meg. rashes are so scary. hope he improves soon. could it have been anything he ate? probably viral like the dr says though i suppose.hope you got some rest.

morning RoRo, you're up early!

guess what, LO slept through until 5.30! weeeeee. i feel like a new woman.

hope there are some other good nights.

bealcain · 01/11/2007 07:38

Amber - do you feel worse now thouh for having had too much sleep?

all was a bit wierd here. Neither DC had naps yesterday so LO went to bed at 5pm, woke at 1, decided to feed him, unlike usual since he didn't have any dinner and then he went back to sleep till 4 and then 6:30! not too bad a night. DS1 woke at 4:30 agin and the went back off till 6. but DF had to go to work at 5:30 so didn't get a lay in til 7 like usual!

meg - i dont expect you'll be up yet, at least i hope not. Hope LO is ok, we spend to half our life in A&E!!

Amberjee · 01/11/2007 07:46

bealcain, i actually feel great. i went to bed at 10, so had 7 1/2 hours. i didn't even wake up in the middle. i felt so ready to get up at 5.30
