ds slept through at 7 months. 7pm - 7am.

jenkel · 07/09/2005 20:34

DD1 - 7 weeks
DD2 - 12 weeks

both for 12 hours

Fennel · 07/09/2005 20:38

dd1 1.5 days old 9 hours (honestly, though I know it sounds bogus)
then regularly 10 hours or more at 4 weeks.

dd2 about 6 months (after some controlled crying)

dd3 regularly from about 5 weeks, 9 hours or more.

I feel we've been a bit lucky on the sleep front.

jane313 · 07/09/2005 20:42

at 3 months for 2 blissful weeks then not again till 6 months but then pretty much 98% of the time

waterfalls · 07/09/2005 20:44

DS............14 WEEKS

dt1............10 WEEKS

DT2............11 WEEKS

Mirage · 07/09/2005 21:51

DD1 9wks-is 2 now & has only woken up in the night once in all that time.

Got my comuppance with DD2-15 wks & still counting.Wakes at 3-4am every night.

jambot · 08/09/2005 12:23

At 12 weeks dd went 6:30 to 6:30, but went 7 hours from birth.

LipstickMum · 08/09/2005 12:26

dd1 - 5 months
dd2 - is 9 weeks and goes from between 4-6 hours at night.

charellie · 08/09/2005 12:31

DTs - 8 weeks.

7pm - 8am but would wake them at 10pm for their last milk feed.

RachD · 08/09/2005 12:33

Ds 13 wks.
Slept from 7pm to 6 am.
Thats what I mean by sleeping through the night.
Never woken up since.
Now 20 mths = 17 mths of bliss.

It is possible.
But some children just won't.
Thats all there is to it.
BF son age 6 still doesn't regularly sleep through.

Interesting that there are many posters for whom, one child did and one child didn't.
How do we explain that ?

bootsmonkey · 08/09/2005 12:43

GOd, I am so envious of all those of you who have had the immense good fortune to have a child that sleeps!!! Especially RachD & Mirage. I swear if my DD had been like that she would have had a sibling by now!!! I can't even come close to understanding what it must be like to have a child that never wakes in the night. A full nights sleep every night! WOW! DD is 3.3yo and I am still up to her at least 3 nights a week. We had the odd night when she slept though from 4mths, and things improved when we did controlled crying at 18mths, but most of her first 2 years was spent with me pacing the floor from 12pm to 2pm or worse as she just teethed non stop. If she wasn't teething she had the associated cough which kept us awake. I have truly aged in the last 3 years!

I am in awe that some babies do this. Not fair!!!

frannyf · 08/09/2005 12:45

Ds is 2 and a half...still waiting for him to sleep through the night! I think he has done it literally 4 times since he was born. One was the night he was born and I got a b*llocking off the midwives for not waking him up to feed! I would have enjoyed it more had I known it would be the last time till god knows when (sob). Going to read the rest of the thread now and hope I am not the only crap mother with a non-sleeping child.

RachD · 08/09/2005 12:58

Hey bootsmonkey, don't worry, our time will come.
He may have been a good sleeper, but we will get other problems,in the future, I can assure you.

And as I have said before, if we are able to have 2nd child, he/she might be the devil child, then everyone will be able to sit back and have a good laugh !!

DS1 13.5 weeks: 7 pm till 7 am
DS2 13 weeks: 7 pm till 7 am

Now DS1 is 2 (3 in Jan) and DS 2 is 15 months. Both sleep from 7 pm till 8 am

Have a very bad feeling about no 3 who is due to arrive end Sept as cannot possibly be so lucky again.....

Mirage · 09/09/2005 21:58

Bootsmonkey-RachD is right-we'll get our comeuppance one day.It is pure luck, both DD's have been put down to sleep ect the same way & DD2 still wakes up at 3-4am.

Incidentally, until she was about 18months,DD1 refused to get up out of bed before 9-9.30am,which made going to mums & tots groups ect impossible,as they all started at 10am.I was well rested, but bored & lonely.

Frizbe · 09/09/2005 22:05

somewhere around the 4 mth mark I think

Mirage · 12/09/2005 21:50

HURRAY DD2 slept from 8.30pm to 5.15am last night!!

I however lay awake for the 2nd night running.Why can't I sleep .

hsbcarter · 14/09/2005 14:45

DS at 5 months we got tought and did PUPD/Baby Whisperer. Sleeps through unless he has an illness (as currently @ 8 months old).

Swear by Baby Whisperer.

dejags · 14/09/2005 15:15

DS1 - 11 weeks old slept like an angel (boy I was smug).

Ha!

DS2 - didn't sleep through the night until 11 months old. Not once and most nights I was up to him at least five times, sometimes as much as every twenty minutes.

PiccadillyCircus · 14/09/2005 15:46

DS slept from 7 until 7 or so with a dream feed when I went to bed (around 10) from about 3 months. I kept doing the dream feed for ages (until about 7 months I think?)

Hoping that DS2/DD is similar to his/her big brother.

banthambabe · 14/09/2005 19:18

still waiting at 15 weeks not sure if hearing that some babies take alot longer to sleep through makes me feel better or worse!

GillL · 17/09/2005 08:27

5 weeks

trinityrocks · 17/09/2005 19:13
