dd - 6 weeks
ds - 8 weeks
dts - 25 weeks and counting. dt1 wakes most nights for a feed, dt2 sleeps thru abt half the time, prob would more often if dt1 wasn't waking him. Seems to be impossible with twins, can't leave dt1 to try to settle himself, as he will wake dt2.

colditz · 05/09/2005 17:30

Ds slept from 10 til 6 at about 4 weeks old, and continued to do so 9 times out of 10. He is now 2.5 and still sleeps through mostly.

Beanfrog · 05/09/2005 18:08

OMG not until ds was 9 months and then only from 7.30 to 3.30am because he was breast fed I thought that was normal!

Now he's 11months and has slept from 7.30 til 7.00 for the last 6 nights and I can't say I've missed the 3.30 feed!

fruitful · 05/09/2005 18:14

I have a friend who can beat the record - her 2nd baby did 7pm-7am from birth. And slept so much in the day she used to have to set an alarm clock to remind herself to wake her for feeds. And it wasn't just post-birth sleepiness - it lasted! !

Dd was 9 months, after weeks of cc . Nightmare for naps too.

Ds is 6 months now and sleeps through (with a dream feed) about half the time.

vickitiredmum · 05/09/2005 18:14

DD - first night (not incl night she was born) was at 8 weeks - then continually slept at least 11 hours solid since 11 weeks (bar the odd exception)
DS - 3 days old but only 7 hours a night on and off until 12 weeks started sleeping for 12-13 hours solid through the night. Didnt like sleeping much in the day until very recently though!

SenoraPostrophe · 05/09/2005 18:15

dd - 4 months

ds - 9 months (after cc)

blueteddy · 05/09/2005 18:21

Both ds1 & ds2 slept through from 3 months old.

noughtsandcrosses · 05/09/2005 18:36

Ds-10 weeks sleeping 10pm-6am
Dd-6 weeks sleeping 6.30apm-7am

Caligula · 05/09/2005 18:38

DS - 6 weeks
DD - 9 weeks and 2 days.

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 05/09/2005 18:39

JUST THINKING - is there a link between sleeping through the night and whether the child is breast or bottle fed?

Jess was/is a nightmare sleeper and has been bottle fed from 4 days old - could this be why?!

Ds is bottle fed and slept 11pm-7am from 3 weeks, and has been sleeping 8pm-7.30pm for about a week, and he is 10 weeks old

geogteach · 05/09/2005 19:30

DS1 7 days
DD 10 months
DS2 8 months
Think I was punished for my good fortune first time round!

serenity · 05/09/2005 19:31

DS1 and 2 - Bfed didn't sleep through until 18mths. DS1 was a nightmare to get to sleep as well (my own fault!), so DS2 had PUPD from an early age to go to sleep. I could lay him down awake to sleep, but he still wouldn't sleep through until 18mths exactly like his brother.

DD - BFed, slept through from 4 weeks until 15 weeks. DSs then must have had a little chat with her about mum really needing sleep deprivation and that was it until she was 18mths too!

I didn't do any kind of cc when they woke up at night, we have a tiny flat - it's just too disruptive, we just coslept for the rest of the night. I think that was just the age they 'got' the whole sleeping thing.

luvlymum · 05/09/2005 19:45

my dd was 11 weeks

WigWamBam · 05/09/2005 19:48

Depends on your definition of sleeping through.

Sleeping 10 - 6, 6 weeks
Sleeping 10 - 8, 5 months
Sleeping 7.30 - 7.30, about 8 months

oooggs · 05/09/2005 19:50

Ds 12 mths at 14 hours, but struggle to get him to sleep during day. Have to resort to car or pushchair

sweetkitty · 05/09/2005 19:52

DD was about 4 months she went 7.30 - 6am had feed went back to sleep till 8.

From 12 mo I gave up BFing and she goes from 8.30-8.30am may wake in the night comes in with us falls asleep straight away.

Apparently I slept for 18 hours a day since I was born, my Mum was worried I wasn't getting enough food. HV said I would wake for food. Might have been due to weaning at 8 weeks and those bottles of milk full of rusk.

Mandymoo · 05/09/2005 20:15

DD was 6 weeks and its was heaven on earth!

Posey · 05/09/2005 20:44

If it wasn't for Charliecat already having posted, I wouldn't have dared respond seeing all these young ones sleeping through.
But here goes. Dd was 3.4 years before she regularly slept all night (very occasionally before that).
Ds was a completely different kettle of fish, but highly irregular. He'd sleep through every night for a few weeks then start waking again, which in many ways was worse as you thought sleepless nights were over, but by 2 he was fairly regularly going through.

biglips · 05/09/2005 20:48

DD - 8 weeks! but from 5 months (since started solids) DD wakes me up 1 or 2 nites a week, so i had a blissfully good sleep from 8 weeks to 5 months (she is now 11 months)

starlover · 05/09/2005 20:51

ds has slept through from about 4months

Furball · 05/09/2005 21:16

Ds - 13 months after cc

Clayhead · 05/09/2005 21:19

dd - 2.1 years
ds - 2 now and still hasn't
