Thank you MN Techs - bulk bold/italics are great!

I did check first to see whether anyone else had posted about this or not but it seems not, so -

THank you so much for allowing the bulk bolding and bulk italicising of words with just the use of the */^ at either end of the section, not around every word. It is FANTASTIC not to have to do every word, so much easier!

Now can you do it for the 'striking out' as well please?

But still, thanks for the others, that's brilliant.

Olihan · 04/07/2010 23:02

Testing, testing: Fan bloody tastic!

RustyBear · 04/07/2010 23:18

It's when you put A* twice in a post - everything between the two asterisks becomes bold and you can't see the asterisks.

So what I've just written, if I hadn't replaced the * with 'asterisk', would become:

It's when you put Atwice in a post - everything between the two becomes bold and you can't see the *

thumbwitch · 04/07/2010 23:24

bibbity - you're just jealous that I found it before you

You could get around the multiple A* grades problem by requiring two asteriks together on either side of the phrase, just as with strikeout.

Or is the double character a problem, and the reason why bulk strikeout hasn't been done?

Saltire · 05/07/2010 08:46

testing this to see if it works for me

Stretch · 06/07/2010 15:24

HelenMumsnet don't changing it - anything that stops mothers fussing about A* is alright with me!

HelenMumsnet · 06/07/2010 17:05

lol, LostArt (but OBVIOUSLY I'll be needing to be able to post very clearly about all my children's A*s in the future...)

loonyrationalist · 06/07/2010 17:16
