MNHQ, a word in your shell-like please - about these pro-BNP threads... consider this a petition

hasn't this gone far enough? these threads are being allowed to stand which considering the "policies" of the BNP and the views expressed by "activists" is appalling. yes, free speech is wonderful, but some of these threads can be seen as inciting racial hatred, there are many, many, disablist, homophobic, racist remarks made and implied and they always go the same way. the threads are started to cause a bunfight. the BNP will not get anymore supporters on here, so why be deliberately controversial?

mn is a self-moderated site. this is great and one of the reasons i use it. however, the mners are now moderating and saying that we have had enough. we have complained a LOT about this type of thing - please take note!

Lenin - ive read some of the stuff she has said - it applies to me and my family. i have a special needs child. i have gay relatives, black friends.

I don;t want her banned either, really.

I have been on loads of threads where she was being realy funny (not for a while admittedly).

I just want her to stop with the trolling behaviour.

I think that people like me find it hard not to respond when people say this is bullying or a witch-hunt and come back repeatedly to defend our stance.

2shoes, I understand your point of view but until I meet these people in real life I will never accept that I can be "stabbed in the back".

I don't consider my self her defender as DP has said things to upset me too, especially as I'm from a mixed race family. If she tries anything on again I, along with plenty of others, will report her. MNHQ have already said she is now in danger of being booted off.

I just don't think we need a thread about it- looks like she's gone anyway...

Y'know mrsruffallo...someone said to me once that they've seen alot worse on bottle feeding V breast feeding threads, my threads are pretty tame in comparison apparently..

But if you were, say, at a party and someone repeatedly made derogatory comments about issues when they knew people in the room were personally involved, wouldn't you have a word?

And is they were doing it consistently wouldn't you decide not to invite them to any more parties because folks feelings are being hurt?

(I think there is an element of truth to the notion that people sort of enjoy argy bargy with DP. It's like scratching an itch - I am guilty of it. But if that becomes the norm I don't think it's good for DP either. it all needs to stop.)

i really dont like some of what she says - but id not want her banned for it and i do think she takes just as much stick back.

brightongirldownunder most people have been down the report road, on numerous occasions, but mn hq seem unable to decide what to do and treat her like a pet troll.
i don't agree that because a few people think oh I am ok (I am by the way it would take more than a sick troll to hurt me) then it is ok and they should be allowed to carry on, people get hurt you see it, some are really vulnerable, or strong but hurt after having to battle with it continuousl. that is what I can't stand, the bullying, then watching the bully playing the victim and people feeding it.
