Bump! I'll be walk/running my leg due to tendonitis. Anyone who can sponsor us please do, it's for a fantastic cause .

OrmRenewed · 23/03/2010 17:12

Yeah! I have tendonitis in both feet, am coughing like an old man with emphysema and I am still running* 20k! So bloody well get on and do it!

  • It might end up being walked
liath · 23/03/2010 17:40

Now I feel thoroughly pathetic at only doing 5k Orm .

MmeLindt · 23/03/2010 17:50

Popsy,
I have had a set back with my training, after a recurrance of the heel problems that used to bother me. I don't think I can manage the 5km. I have worked my way back up to about 3km today, hopefully improve on that by the weekend. Does it matter if I walk some of the way?

OrmRenewed · 23/03/2010 18:17

Yeah I know. It sounds great doesn't it liath I agreed to it last year when I was healthy and in one piece.

JJ · 23/03/2010 18:33

I'm doing it, too. MmeLindt, I'm sure it's fine to walk!

We don't have to post times, do we?

saggarmakersbottomknocker · 23/03/2010 18:38

Bloody hope not JJ.

How's things with you, I've not been about much.

wuglet · 23/03/2010 19:45

Oooh it's up to a round £1000 now.....

I am ready!!

Katz · 23/03/2010 20:10

i'm going to do my very best to do my 5km on sunday - it will be a walk run combo for me too - training has been well pants!

MmeLindt · 23/03/2010 20:42

Ok, will do a walk/run then.

Off to beg on FB

ProfYaffle · 23/03/2010 21:03

With pleasure

DrZeus · 23/03/2010 22:36

Done - good luck to you all.

Bump!

JJ · 24/03/2010 07:34

saggar - Good, thanks! Son is on judo team now (!!) - back to looking like a normal pre-teen boy. His final appt with his surgeon is late April. How is your daughter?

I did a 1/2 marathon on Sunday - had a stomach bug that started about mile 8 and laid me low until yesterday evening. I made it though without pooing my pants during the race (or afterwards for that matter). Appalling time, but I'm claiming success, nonetheless.

ClaudiaSchiffer · 24/03/2010 08:49

I'm in, are you no longer gonna put us all in teams? Or have i just missed that whole bit?

Themasterandmargaritas · 24/03/2010 11:27

I'm still doing my 15k, will I be the first non UK runner to run?

saggarmakersbottomknocker · 24/03/2010 18:31

Blimey - well done JJ. dd is fine; stressed as she's revising for her GCSEs. And I've just dropped her off for her first proper date. Hope the appointment goes well

ClaudiaSchiffer · 24/03/2010 20:32

We're both non-UK Themasterandmargaritas.

MmeLindt · 24/03/2010 22:44

Another non-UK signing in. Did 3.5km today thanks to a friend going running with me so am hopeful that I will perhaps manage the 5km at the weekend.

llareggub · 24/03/2010 22:59

I'm still up for mine at the weekend but it shall be 5k and no more. I've managed it once but I went out this week and struggled to do 3.5k. So I am scared. Are there teams?
