Yes, our very latest publishing progeny is in all good bookshops (online and offline).

Babies: The Mumsnet Guide is packed to bursting with your advice on the whole kit and caboodle of babydom (breastfeeding, colic, sleep, food, health, relationships, childcare and lots more) plus some brilliant puns.

If you've already read it, reviewed it or recommended it, thank you! Please tell us what you think here.

If you haven't, order your copy and read Justine's foreword for a taster.

Thank you.

And please spread the word at your antenatal class, buy it as a present for your mates and generally help to get some magnificent Mumsnet advice out there!

Good lord, I read that as me sharing info on ravaged fanjos and postnatal sex and was really quite

Punning a v important part of parenting, imo.

policywonk · 05/03/2010 17:28

DId you write it blouse? I didn't know that (hadn't read thread properly). It's v good.

blouseenthusiast · 05/03/2010 17:29

heehee, think you just give some ladylike advice on breastfeeding and maybe sleeping. Custardo has a brilliant line about her husband being a fat bastard. I found you, ShowofHands, in stretchmarks...

blouseenthusiast · 05/03/2010 17:32

Awhh, shucks, policywonk. thank you. We almost met at the party but I was slightly inebriated and simply recognised you from afar...

policywonk · 05/03/2010 17:34

You should have said hello!

FabIsDoingPrettyWell · 05/03/2010 17:48

Am I in it????

hunkermunker · 05/03/2010 18:09

Me, ladylike? Oh, good

Advice on bfing though - that doesn't sound like me

blouseenthusiast · 06/03/2010 20:00

Down in the 2000s again. Fab, I don't think you are - the book was written nearly a year ago and I think you have become prlific since then?

IwishIwasmoreorganised · 06/03/2010 20:48

I think it was written too long ago for me to be in it. I've not been here all that long and don't post a lot really.

I'll get it for my sister who is due to have her 1st dc any day. She hasn't taken any of my advice so far, so maybe she'll listen to some of you

UserNameAngst · 06/03/2010 23:12

I had this book on my wishlist since the end of last year because I loved the MN Guide to Pregnancy so so much - it was by far the best pregancy book I read. And I read A Lot of these books.

I knew that the book on babies would be a touch late for me - DS is 11 weeks old now - and I have been glued to the MN forums via my phone (v excited about the prospect of a MN app btw) during the long long hours of breastfeeding, so have already picked up lots of tips that way. Still, it's a great book, and I love the format and the tone - both books have made me laugh out loud and they are just so dry and direct and non-judgemental.

From a professional pov my only criticism would be I was surprised the cover photography wasn't bespoke - I got my Sainsbury's Little Ones welcome magazine just days after and the same photo is on the cover.

Will be buying the Toddler one in due course!

blouseenthusiast · 07/03/2010 10:48

Congratulations on your DS, Usernameangst (like the name!).

FabIsDoingPrettyWell · 07/03/2010 13:57

I have been here for over 4 years but under different names.

blouseenthusiast · 07/03/2010 18:51

If you tell me your aliases, Fab, I can tell you whether you are in it...

FabIsDoingPrettyWell · 07/03/2010 19:08

Variations on fab and nabster..

blouseenthusiast · 07/03/2010 21:05

Hmm, were you fabiocatello?

CantSleepWontSleep · 07/03/2010 22:00

I don't suppose that 5 years on MN has earned me a single quote has it? I mostly just agree with other folk!

FabIsDoingPrettyWell · 08/03/2010 08:06

No but that is a great name .

BecauseImWorthIt · 08/03/2010 09:15

Write on on teenagers and I can give you lots of quotes about those.

Although I doubt my fanjo or norks (or DH's testicles) will make much of an appearance.

blouseenthusiast · 08/03/2010 13:00

I can't find you, Can'tSleep, but there was not a very scientific process for selection. I think you are in, though, BIWI...

BecauseImWorthIt · 08/03/2010 13:14

Oooh am I? How on earth would I have managed that?

NumberOneEnemy · 08/03/2010 13:15

blouseenthusiast · 08/03/2010 16:54

You are well-disguised, though, No 1.

blouseenthusiast · 08/03/2010 16:55

That hyphen looks wrong...

mustrunmore · 13/03/2010 10:07

Am I in it I'll buy it if I am !

CantSleepWontSleep · 13/03/2010 12:54

You'll have to tell her your old name mrm for her to search you properly.
