GeraldineMumsnet · 04/03/2010 15:12

Yes, our very latest publishing progeny is in all good bookshops (online and offline).

Babies: The Mumsnet Guide is packed to bursting with your advice on the whole kit and caboodle of babydom (breastfeeding, colic, sleep, food, health, relationships, childcare and lots more) plus some brilliant puns.

If you've already read it, reviewed it or recommended it, thank you! Please tell us what you think here.

If you haven't, order your copy and read Justine's foreword for a taster.

Thank you.

And please spread the word at your antenatal class, buy it as a present for your mates and generally help to get some magnificent Mumsnet advice out there!

Oh God, mp, I am such a useless techo-craphat I can't figure out hwo to do that and am tragically thumbing through the actual book in order to entice peeps to buy and drive the ranking into three figures. sad sad sad. Where is flightattendant? One of my favourite things I put in is her co-sleeping story. Apart from all teh stuff about your fanjo, obviously...

blouseenthusiast · 04/03/2010 22:15

Ah, you ahve a brilliant thing SoupDragon about how the world would be run by squirrels if babies were as fragile as people thought. P 306.

morningpaper · 04/03/2010 22:16
SoupDragon · 04/03/2010 22:18

Squirrels? Are you sure I said that?

[senile]

SoupDragon · 04/03/2010 22:20

Dear god... why can't I say anything sensible?? Squirrels FFS.

blouseenthusiast · 04/03/2010 22:22

I loved that squirrels thing. Is up there with flightattendant's cosleeping and mp's nethers

blouseenthusiast · 04/03/2010 22:23

And enid's outsize nipples - another personal fave...

blouseenthusiast · 04/03/2010 22:24
morningpaper · 04/03/2010 22:31

Enid might be removing it from her Amazon wishlist ....

blouseenthusiast · 04/03/2010 22:46

1,038.

SoupDragon, you also have a bit about baby mementoes, p 331.

morningpaper · 04/03/2010 22:56

Don't worry you will stop checking it in ten months or so

blouseenthusiast · 04/03/2010 23:10

If I order ten copies myself at 3 in the morning, maybe can get to three figures...

SoupDragon · 05/03/2010 07:02

I'll have to jot the page numbers down and stand in Waterstones. I'm not buying it, even to help your Amazon ratings!

Flame · 05/03/2010 07:44

so is it actually in waterstones etc now?

blouseenthusiast · 05/03/2010 09:55

Not sure, flame, might go and root around at the weekend. I shpuld say here that I owe a great debt to motherinferior for contribution to puns and advice about breastpumps, not to mention many very pithy funny quotes.

policywonk · 05/03/2010 12:03

Oh it is very good. The text itself is funny and useful, as well as the quotes from the board. MP, your nethers quote is a highlight.

hoxtonchick · 05/03/2010 14:51

i will write you a delightful review blousey, what's it worth ?

hunkermunker · 05/03/2010 16:10

It has puns in?

Well, that's the sort of baby book that the world's been crying out for - I do love a good pun.

NumberOneEnemy · 05/03/2010 16:14

i have a copy
i think i am in it somewhere

JustineMumsnet · 05/03/2010 16:16

Yes, yes, reviews! We need positive reviews on Amazon (please).

hunkermunker · 05/03/2010 16:16

I'd like to hear more about the puns, please

Hunker, market research revealed that parents of new babies aren't in a mental state to take in advice but they are sufficiently mentally atrophied to thoroughly enjoy puns. No 1 enemy you are there lots, especially about state of fanjo, as per mp, and you share some thoughts on postnatal sex....
