So, MNHQ, bedecked in LKBennett (and Boden for the plebs) are all out stuffing pizza and Bolly, half of the posters and hangers-on are there too: what mischief shall we get up to while they're away?

Because I bet they've just left BigTech in charge. Or he/she'll be checking in every once in a while, a bit pished and lairy.

So we can DO. WHAT. WE. LIKE. while the Leaders party.

My shoes are on there! Can imagine the photographer - 'hmmm this all gets steadily worse from the knee up'

NumberOneEnemy · 05/03/2010 20:27

er yes
i had been at balrdy work all day - so no time, then on a train.
hey ho
but you know it was the laughter that was such fun and the bonhomie
it was so so friendly. no standing around eyeing each other tup.

BecauseImWorthIt · 05/03/2010 20:29

Thank goodness there was no tupping.

NumberOneEnemy · 05/03/2010 20:31

bibbitybobbityhat · 05/03/2010 20:33

Sarah Brown is amazingly gorgeous.

The rest of you are old dumper-trucks, tbh.

morningpaper · 05/03/2010 20:38

I shocked Lenin with my tup talk

fanjolina · 05/03/2010 20:38

My tup has bigger balls than all of you. Eye that up!

BecauseImWorthIt · 05/03/2010 21:09

Agree, No1. It was lovely. Definitely lots of bonhomie.

And champagne.

WilfSell · 05/03/2010 21:11

The two often go together, no?

I love parties. I haven't been to a good party for ages.

BecauseImWorthIt...did I say it ws lovely to meet you ( the thread is so long I can't remember what I've put!) but it was.

Everyone was really funny and charming. I wish I had muscled in to speak to Justin Webb, but I enjoyed telling teh Editor of the Radio Times how my DH religiously circles all the programmes he wants to watch /record!

Finbar · 05/03/2010 21:29

Think I may be zebra dress woman - but not alas zebra shoes...shame . I went instead for the WRONG size shoe and had to stuff not one but two insoles in them and I still slopped around like a 6 year old in her Mum's high heels.

BecauseImWorthIt · 05/03/2010 21:31

LOOK! FINBAR HAS STOPPED LURKING!

Finbar · 05/03/2010 21:34

YAY! HAve come out!!!

Mettle · 05/03/2010 21:44

erm, hello......
thought I ought to pop by and add to this, as I was VERY lucky to be there :D

I was Buzzingnoise's +1. One of the ones who sat at the table at the front, ALL night, and let the champagne come to us. There are tons of lovely photos of the back of my head.. sigh, I knew I needed new straighteners!

Anyway, wanted to say a quick hello and thank you to all the lovely people I met (and no doubt bored witless, I don't get out much), erm Applesinmypocket, bumperlicious, morningpaper ( i did enjoy the hair flicking and lots of other people whom I have no clue who they were..sorry

morningpaper · 05/03/2010 21:46

There are NO PICTURES of the hair flicking! Perhaps when we are laughing we look like a field of horses chewing treacle?

Finbar · 05/03/2010 21:46

Hi - and well done on getting a seat - with my stupid shoes I wish I had!

ApplesinmyPocket · 05/03/2010 21:48

Hello Mettle! it was lovely meeting you. My DD says hello too. Thanks for letting us sit with you - we had a right laugh over the sushi etc Wish we could do it all over again!

Mettle · 05/03/2010 21:48

I think but virtue of the fact there are about 15 photos of the back of my head, and not one of my face, I can safely saw I do indeed look like a horse chewing treacle when I laugh!

onebatmother · 05/03/2010 21:50

Hello Finbar! Wilkommen. Et bienvenue. Welcome.

ApplesinmyPocket · 05/03/2010 21:54

Mettle, at least the photographer didn't think your FEET were the best thing about you like she did me

Finbar · 05/03/2010 21:56

Hello Onebat - lovely to meet you too. I twas all a bit of a blur wasn't it?
Am very gingerly posting again .

Mettle · 05/03/2010 21:58

hehe, well if you will wear such fabulous shoes...

did I say goodbye? I remember suddenly realising the time, and when my last train was leaving, and kind of flying out of Pizza Express, wondering where the heck I was and having to hail a cab as I had no clue!

fanjolina · 05/03/2010 22:06

Finbar - you look very glam and groomed.

In fact, far too stylish to be friends with that unstylish Cod woman. So ditch her and become best mates with us!

And I note that you are holding your champagne glass correctly- by the stem.
Your dodgy mate (who you can't take anywhere - I mean imagine telling the Prime Minsiter to "Think Fish"! - sheesh!!) doesn't hold it properly. Common as muck that fish is.
