We've just done a new code release and there are a few issuettes - we'll work through them.

Do refresh your pages though - that gets rid of most of the problems (though not all).

OP posts:

OK, so you need to add a space in to the beginning of each message - the spacing at the end of each message is sorted but it's too squished at the top so the text is almost bumping into the "add message" and looks all wrong.

And our names all look like they've been on a diet - which is the closest I'm going to get to losing weight but still looks weird...!

DottyDotsOfBloodOnTheFloor · 28/10/2009 19:01

And you definitely need to show the last poster's name on threads in Active Convos, otherwise I can I stalk people keep up with who's on which thread..?

Littlefish · 28/10/2009 19:02

Now on Firefox - white space at the top is gone, but font looks much too small, and somehow weak.

serenity · 28/10/2009 19:02

I have to agree with Dotty on that - I liked the symbols, and I liked seeing all of a posters name (ie I liked classic Classic) but if I have to get used to this I will (just don't want to really)

Northernlurker · 28/10/2009 19:03

What have you done to 'threads I'm on' - it now only shows the ;ast 5 messages - that's no good - I could miss something as I scan through!

RustyBat · 28/10/2009 19:03

I'm on new & I think it looks a lot better! I can actually see everyone's Halloween names (which tend to be longer than normal)

Wasn't the Add message on every post always there? I know it was on new, as I use it to get down to the bottom of the page when I'm on iPhone & can't scroll quickly. (Which I hope will be fixed in the app that I'm sure you're working on.....

Just off to see what it's like on iPhone.

Firefox

Macdog · 28/10/2009 19:09

Agree with DottyDots... about showing last poster's name on Active convos.
I also miss it on the Threads I'm Watching - don't know when people are replying

wheredidiputit · 28/10/2009 19:09

Firefox
Classic

Have 3inch margins on both sides of conversation.

Ewe · 28/10/2009 19:11

I am on chrome, can I get rid of all this fecking blue everywhere? I am allegedly on Mumsnet Classic sober workplace.

I also have white margins both side of the conversation.

Please fix it!

RustyBat · 28/10/2009 19:14

It looks better on the iPhone too - are the titles wrapping differently - they seem to fit better on the screen.

Advanced Search is bigger too (once you've clicked on 'By Keyword' but there's a big gap between 'By Keyword' and 'By Time' (on Firefox as well as on Safari/iPhone) so it's not immediately obvious the second option is there.

BertieBotts · 28/10/2009 19:15

Search seems to be broken, is that related (ie temporary)?

GrapefruitMoon · 28/10/2009 19:16

Classic
Safari

Threads I'm on looks odd

can't search

everything else looks slightly different but say in what way!

Cockavita · 28/10/2009 19:17

Tis horrible...

OhYouBadBadKitten · 28/10/2009 19:19
Biscuit
RustyBat · 28/10/2009 19:20

If you have big spaces each side, you can zoom in so they disappear & Firefox will keep that setting just for MN. I did that after the last big change & I'd forget I've done it & wonder why MN looks odd on other people's computers.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 28/10/2009 19:20

no Biscuit ?

Giant thread headers on the 'what I'm on' page. mn new, firefox. other than that its fine.

but no Biscuit

ImSoNotTelling · 28/10/2009 19:21

I have no margins on either side and everything is squashed up together. My eyes really do hurt. Maybe I should do something else

tvaerialmagpiebin · 28/10/2009 19:29

Firefox and Classic here

No line between last message in thread and "Add your message here", makes it look a bit odd as if part of the last message.

Too much left and right hand side space.

Box with discussions of day and mst active actually shows both - used to just show Ds of day (actually hasn't in classic for ages but I forgot)

Guimuahahahahahaaaaaaa · 28/10/2009 19:30

Half of the posters names I can see are in blue but aren't hyperlinks, I think, and the other half are in black and underlined and the link works. Is this wrong, or is it people who've got profiles and people who haven't?

MN new (I think, but I can't remember how you tell) and Safari.

Other than that it looks different, and I fear change, and threads I'm on/ last 15 minutes etc just looks wrong!

ImSoNotTelling · 28/10/2009 19:31

How do you get it to reload the style sheet? F5 is refresh should that do it or should I be pressing something else?

Cos I've pressed F5 and I'm not happy

throckenholt · 28/10/2009 19:31

Firefox and classic. Looks generally ok - apart from threads I'm on - which lacks definition between threads and spacing is odd.

Also - advanced search - tells me there x messages matching the search but helpfully doesn't show them.

tvaerialmagpiebin · 28/10/2009 19:32

In active convos, didn't it used to be that you could click on the topic name and thread name separately,
e.g. _chat: what is going on? you could either click on chat or whatis going on, now the thread name is fixed to the topic name (a bit irritating butI suppose not the end of the world)

Guimuahahahahahaaaaaaa · 28/10/2009 19:32

Although perhaps I'm on classic as I've never noticed any truncated nicknames!
