oh deary, deary me. What has happened. I thought it was just my crackberry playing up but it's gone pear-shaped on my laptop as well.

I am getting white bits at the bottom of short threads between the last post and the post a message box.

The discussion of the day/most active box does not always load properly so it is mixed togethre rather than two tabs.

I'm not getting the big gap at the top of active convos on any of my browsers (Firefox 3.5.3, IE8, Chrome 3 and Safari on iPhone) Have you tried holding down shift when you refresh?

I don't like the lack of posters name in active convos either...and it is really WHITE again - wasn't that a problem last time you broke fixed it?

HouseofMirth - I thought I couldn't get to any profiles, because I couldn't get to mine - then I remembered I'd namechanged & haven't shifted my profile JackBauer's works though, if you want to test one that's definitely there.

Yes, agree with everyone that you must bring back the last poster's name in Active Convos -- this is absolutely critical for seeing who's around on MN at any time!

JackBauer's username is appearing differently at the top of her posts. It's in black and underlined, everyone else is blue.

Sorry that some things aren't working properly/have changed/don't look right - BigTech is sobbing quietly in the remote corner of the Shed to which he has been banished till he is APOLOGISES PROPERLY.

When he does, we might tell him that some people like the way it looks on iPhone now - but only if he's really sincere...

In the meantime, here's a little summary of where (we think) we're at and what needs fixing:

1. MN Classic: last poster's name not showing in Active Convos. Yep, mistake noted - we're working to fix that.

1. Mumsnet Talk box not retracting when you open a thread, so continuing to display Most Active convos. Yep, mistake noted - we're working to fix that.

1. Add message/Report post/Contact poster links dropping down into message line. Yep. This is happening to me, too, but BigTech said it was just me - so feel rather vindicated now! Will report this.

1. Search not working. Thanks - we didn't know that - we'll take a look.

1. MN Classic: Threads I'm On not showing enough posts. Noted - will find out what BigTech was intending...

1. Notes on top of threads in Health etc: warning sign overwritten by text. Thanks - we didn't know that - we'll take a look.

1. Weird stuff happening at the bottom of each page if you are reading threads as pages. Thanks - we didn't know that - we'll take a look.

I can't get Sober Workplace. Which is fine right now, but could be problematic tomorrow, in my workplace

MN new using IE and massive gap at the top, the length of all the ads down the right hand side, yuk!

Arrghhh! What's happened?

Right for me I have:

1. small black font
2. some posters name banners are black and underlined, and some are blue and not underlined.
3. 'threads I'm on' just looks really odd.#
4. in active convos, thread text is black and I'm sure it used to be blue.
5. the 'add message/report/contact poster' looks very cluttered.

Please put it back, pleeeassseee

Oh forgot to say I'm on Firefox, classic view.

The threads I've clicked on used to turn purple but now stay blue so I forget where I've been poking about taking an interest .

All my threads have been shunted down so nothing starts until we get underneath the Recipe of the week.

Its ALLLLL big white space.
Even the forum header thats blue is shunted down.

i cant see my nickname and password under the post box because they've been blended with the "to post a message" blurb

Threads I'm on is all weird. And I want the little envelope, where's the envelope gone, give it back!

Not too bad on iPod touch. But still don't like the feeling of New being thrust upon me.

Franca - the little envelope is now the 'Contact poster' link.

and all the purple buttons are squiffy.

Oh, and the menu at the top, there is a step after "travel" so the last two menu options are in a thinner section.
