Are you still getting your MN newsletters and roundups?

Hello.

It seems a fair few of you are no longer getting our weekly Parenting News emails and/or Talk Roundups (assuming you opted to be sent them in the first place).

We suspect there may be some gremlins in the MNHQ email-sending-out machine - which we working hard to fix - but, if you've noticed an outrageous absence of MN fun in your inbox lately, it's definitely worth:

  1. Checking your Spam folder. Even if MN stuff's never ended up in there before.
  1. Checking your preferences in My Mumsnet. Click on Email options - and check you've selected to receive what you want to receive.
Then click on Your details - have you got a message in red, saying previous attempts to email you have failed? If you have, try just clicking Save Changes (it can't hurt!)
  1. See if you can tweak your Spam settings. If you use Aol, Hotmail or Yahoo, we have some suggestions for you here
  1. Sign up for a Google Gmail account - it's free and they have a good track record of accepting Mumsnet's emails.
  1. Emailing us at [email protected] and having a good moan. We may not be able to wave a magic newsletter wand but we'll try.

Oh, and there's no Parenting News this Thursday but there is a Talk Roundup this Friday.

I checked my registration details and it said MNHQ had tried to email me but it didn't get through. THe address you have is correct though, and it used to work. Definitely hasn't gone into spam.
What now?

Tamarto · 15/08/2009 14:09

I didn't get this weeks roundup.

I've checked my settings, the addy is allowed i'm gmail.

ProfYaffle · 15/08/2009 17:42

I had loads of problems when I was on Yahoo but since switching to Gmail it's all been fine.

TheWolf · 15/08/2009 22:03

I usually get all of the emails but this week I haven't had the roundup for some reason.

glasjam · 15/08/2009 23:17

It's really wierd. I think I remember asking for this roundup AGES ago and I never got it but today for the first time ever, it's appeared in my spam folder. Why would that be?

JulesJules · 16/08/2009 10:18

It's finally arrived - yippee!

whomovedmychocolate · 16/08/2009 19:48

I got mine today too!

BertieBotts · 23/08/2009 21:24

Just wanted to say, I got one but now am not recieving anything again.

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/08/2009 19:22

i get MP round up, but nothing else

carriemumsnet · 24/08/2009 22:47

Thanks for all the feedback... and apologies to those who aren't getting everything they should... Will get the clever techs to look into it and see what they can do!

If you're not getting the regular newsletter /parenting news round up at the moment, don't worry there hasn't been one for a few weeks, but they'll be back soon.

Spagblog · 06/10/2009 15:24

Sorry to resurrect this, but I don't get MP's roundup any more. It isn't getting blocked by my spam filter.
I am on AOL

HelenMumsnet · 06/10/2009 23:06

SpagBlog: have you got a redmessage in your Registration Details - you need to go into My Mumsnet to see it.

I haven't had anything for a while. Have checked my preferences in My Mumsnet, and it looks OK. Have also checked my spam etc. Am on windows livemail (used to be hotmail) Not sure why I'm no longer receiving anything.

solo · 06/10/2009 23:21

I haven't been getting mine. I did notice this a week or so ago, but haven't had time/energy/inclination to do anything about it. I do miss the belly laughing it gives me though

HelenMumsnet · 07/10/2009 16:05

Ok, at the risk of boring the pants off everyone, I'm going to post our up-you-chances-of-getting-our-newsletters tips again.

Here we go...

Thank you, I have followed all the instructions and now will sit and wait and see

tvaerialmagpiebin · 08/10/2009 18:16

I haven't had the Roundup either for about 6 weeks. First it started to arrive on Friday night, about 23.39, then on a Ssaturday morning, and now not at all. I haven't changed anything, and have been through all the things above to check. How odd. Still read it though as you usually put up a link. Love MP!
