Hello and welcome

I've got my dongle working! Woohoo!

Today is a briefing day organised by the G20 Voice peeps.

Am networking like a wild thing. Oh look, there's Michelle O. 'Scuse me.

Hope they've got some good security, I wouldn't leave my laptop on a table like that, all alone.

What if a radical got in and started posting 'This blog is deleted' and you lost all your followers? Hardly bears thinking about.

snice · 01/04/2009 13:41

Is the man with a beard on table 1 ok? He hasn't moved for ages.

Habbibu · 01/04/2009 13:43

Photos are being taken...

KayHarkerIsPlayingWithMitchell · 01/04/2009 13:43

He just shifted in his seat - numb buns, no doubt. God, this is better than Eastenders.

onebatmother · 01/04/2009 13:43

I thought it was a trick of the light, but that man's coat really is half green, half yellow.

Threadworm · 01/04/2009 13:50

He stands with right profile to camera when he wants to look Green; left side to camera for Lib-Dem allegiance.

onebatmother · 01/04/2009 13:51

whatever gets the PNH message acrss Kay. PW is nothing if not a pragmatist.

(She's got her bikini in her laptop case)

Oooh. Someone's talking.

Habbibu · 01/04/2009 13:53

Threadworm · 01/04/2009 13:53

I'd like to point out that I have just Finished A Commission and I am not skiving (for once). Unlike some of you I fear.

Good luck wonko

We are rooting for you (typed 'rotting' there)

Am busy entertaining my mother but will check on this later

Habbibu · 01/04/2009 13:58

oh! Oh! I saw a sandwich. Couldn't work out the filling, though.

MP - can't you just get your mother to watch it?

KayHarkerIsPlayingWithMitchell · 01/04/2009 13:59

So what you're saying fella, is that your change model is 'lobbying'

Crikey. Ground-breaking stuff.

policywonk · 01/04/2009 14:01

Got nobbled during lunch by the Save the Children people re. the maternal and newborn health issue - talking about difficulty of implementing necessary changes in areas like northern Nigeria (sharia law).

Says basically, they need more money, plus detailed plans for each country (because all circs are different)

StC's site is here

Got to try to listen to Bono's mate now

V difficult to find time to tweet in four different time zones but will try

OBM, I can't get into my email account for some reason

Threadworm · 01/04/2009 14:05

Northern Nigeria is I think an area where Nigeria's attempt to legislate against the marriage of very young girls has been unsuccessful because of local cultural resistance.

Many children give birth at 12 or 13 and suffer ?fistulas? that mean they suffer from incontinence fecal and urinary for life. They are often divorced and left unsupported by families.

KayHarkerIsPlayingWithMitchell · 01/04/2009 14:07

Yay for a grudging compliment to Dubya - one of the few things I respect the man for, well done, Bono's mate.
