Downtime tonight (Thurs 25th) - 10.30pm - New Server coming hooray

Hello all,

Mumsnet will be down tonight from 10.30pm (not 10.00 pm as previously advertised) while YetMoreTech and BigTech fiddle in the shed to get our shiny new server up and running. Many apologies for the inconvenience but hopefully it will mean the end to the night-time go-slows you've all been heroically enduring.

(Fingers crossed they don't break it!)

all I can say is Thank God I'm going out!

Thursday night is normally my big MNing night coz there's sod all on the telly

avidly awaits the influx of "am I, aren't I?" threads in four weeks time.

Fortunately , we were up all night with a baby with the screaming abdabs, so I will be going to bed early. There will NOT be any more Wilferines adding to the chaos in 9 months time.

I'm afraid I don't know how long it will take and didn't like to ask in case Techs thought I was nagging... but hey how long can it take to switch off, upload and switch on again... if they're any good?

In my experience... maybe 8 weeks? Migration is hellish
