Why so much hate on MN?
Posters hiding behind complaints about the government, presenting themselves as reasonable actors, to push hate about asylum seekers, people with disabilities, benefit claimants..Mostly the same names all day everyday.
I am told to report - MN just not interested.
I am told to hide the thread..
Why isn't moderation better?
I know this will always exist and exists on other platforms but MN makes no effort to even try to anything about it.
You can't really sell MN as a caring, supportive site with all this stuff offered on a daily basis in active.

If MN isn't deeming content hateful, it isn't hateful. Becky has explained the rationale behind decisions. Are we all going to complain about every single post we see as wrong? Some posts we report are deleted, others aren't.

You have more faith in moderation judgement than me.

I've seen plenty of inconsistency myself but nothing I can do about it.

They do get to decide what to delete and what the guidelines are. There’s always other platforms or set one up and you can decide.

I’m finding it fascinating to see who thinks MN moderation is infallible though I must say.

I think some is off. Probably not the same posts as you consider off. But it’s not that much of a big deal, everyone’s still posting.

Not infallible but I accept it for what it is. That or I go and post somewhere where I trust moderation, instead of complaining about it every five minutes.
