The terrible coloured moving adverts...

Sorry to keep complaining, but these days my screen when I'm using Mumsnet is approx 2 thirds brightly coloured moving images. They distract from the text I'm trying to read and after a while, make me feel quite ill.
A previous Site Stuff thread said that advice was taken about accessibility during another recent change, but I think this development has slipped through that net. Anyone with a visual impairment or migraines (eg, me!) could really suffer.

I can't believe how awful the site is now. I currently have 4 moving ads, the main Lottery one each side, the pop up video in the corner, and Very and Evans, all moving at the same time!. I can't cope with stuff moving in the background when I am trying to read and this is horrendous.

Morning, everyone. We've had a look at the screenshots kindly posted by @Puzzledtoday . They look like they are behaving 'normally', ie the ads are meant to appear where they are and there are some elements that 'move'. We're not sure there's much we can do about the brightness issue on ads but we will look into that.

We don't think any of these ads should be flashing or strobing though. If anyone sees that, we'd really appreciate it if you could get a screen recording of it (or even just record it using a different device held in front of the screen if that's easier) and send it in to [email protected] with this thread's title in the subject line. If you alert us here that you've sent it we'll go and find the email asap.

Thanks @HebeMumsnet . I was partly hoping that the section of screen showing adverts could be made smaller. As you can see, they take up about two thirds of my screen and being so brightly coloured and large, make it hard to read the Mumsnet section.
At the moment I only have a panel of ads to the right of my screen; they are moving and I've taken a video and will send it if you let me know how to do it. I can't add the video as an image. The movement is unpleasant, but not as bad as the full page ads which have eg aeroplanes shooting across the screen.
