Banned for calling out dogwhistling posts

Yesterday, there was yet another dogwhistlng, vague post on the lines of " Should I send my kids back to school in September? Social media warns of a terrorist attack". This is about the 5th such post in the last 10 days. All by posters spreading panic and fear. I have reported in the past and MN has ignored it. Posts continue to mushroom.

Yesterday, I posted telling people not to get news from Tiktok and pointed out that there have been a spate of such posts.
My posts were deleted, and then my account was banned. My previous username was @KateMiskin.

Could @MN please explain why they allow blatant scaremongering and dogwhistling on a parenting site when the police commissioner has urged people not to spread rumours? And why my account was deleted? I said nothing offensive or that broke the rules. I have been a member for over 20 years.

A lot of OPs are far more subtle than that. Light the blue touchpaper and retire...

I'm not radical left wing and I think people have been posting racist shit and also starting wide-eyed naive threads that are deliberately designed to stir up racial tension and/or spread disinformation.

I know it's subtle, I've just called someone out for spouting the Great Replacement theory.

It is a fact that racists are operating on MN. Evidenced by the fact that MNHQ has deleted some posts and shown some posters the door. Our concern is that too much racism is still slipping though the mods' nets.

This too k longer than I anticipated to happen. Note that it wasn't posters in the first 3 pages who reduced the thread to sniping and insults. There was a civilised , thoughtful and interesting debate going on. Now we're in the playground.

Surely there ought to eb some kind if rule about posters who trawl MNHQ looking for the people they clearly don't like and prodding the bear. There weren't any deleted posts for 'personal attacks' before this.

This is what they do though. Goad to get a reaction then report the poster to get the posts deleted.
