Why aren't threads opening on most recent post

I haven't changed my settings but now when I open a thread I'm on it takes me to an older post than I've read. It used to take me to the most recent. What's happening?

Agreed this bug must be doing more for mumsnet than the issues caused for us. They've probably hidden the thread too! 😁@mnhq

Very annoyed there seems to be radio silence on these issues from MNHQ.

Now I've a new annoying feature started a couple of days ago - random words getting underlined when I'm typing a message.
Anyone else got this?

There's a thread in Active Conversations ATM with no replies and the OP is 09:50. That doesn't make any sense.

This site is almost unusable because of this issue.

Morning, everyone. We're afraid there's no news as yet but just wanted to let you know we are still working on this and it hasn't been forgotten. We'll let you know once there's any useful update.

Sorry for being thick but can't MNHQ just undo whatever changes were made in these "updates" that have made the site virtually unusable?

Thanks. Doesn't give the impression that either mumsnet or its vendor considers this issue a high priority bug. Any insight on that?

Yeah it's still happening and still as irritating!

I would really like MNHQ to answer the following questions and honestly please:

Is this loss of functions issue anything to do with the adverts? Is MNHQ or someone getting more revenue from all the additional clicks we are having to do and pages we are having to visit? Is the failure to fix the issue for over 11 weeks anything to do with the ads and/or revenue? If not, why exactly have the issues still not been fixed for what now amounts to a quarter of a year?

The adverts are bloody annoying. They've started freezing anx I can't scroll past them for ages.
Also I've found another annoying new feature. The message "draft saved" has appeared when I'm typing a message then once posted it's still in the box. I don't want drafts saved just as I don't want all the new "features".

I just don't feel as if anything is being done about any of this rubbish.

Today's fresh hell -
Scrolling through Active threads, stop to read a thread, list takes me back to the top of the list every single time so ages wasted scrolling back through titles I've already seen.
Also why is there "Draft saved" popping up when I'm typing a thread? I don't want my drafts saved.

@mnhq when are all these issues going to be sorted out. There are loads of them and nothing seems to be improving. In fact there are even more annoying ones happening.

I used to love idly using MN - now I can barely be bothered.

I'm also having the back to the top of the list issue as above

Long threads are opening on random pages in the middle for me.

I'm still having to bookmark the last post I read otherwise goodness knows where the thread would ope up.

Still getting random words underlined as well.

I don't think MNHQ bother any more

i can read an entire multi page thread, comment on it. And then it takes me back to the thread on a page in the middle even though I’ve just commented on it! Seems crazy this is so unfixable.

In the beginning they said they'd been noted and were working on them but that's stopped now.
There are so many issues with it now.

There has also been no reply from MNHQ to my question, here and on the other Site Stuff threads, asking whether the loss of several basic functions including this one is related to the ads overload and increasing MNHQ's revenue. At this point it seems like we are stuck with the loss of basic functions, the ads overload and the sexualised, sexist, misogynist ads usually aimed at men.

I mean, I keep using as I'm ridiculously over invested in Mumsnet. However newer users won't find it attractive at all will they? Far more likely to just give up and go elsewhere

This is still happening for me, on the app, on my phone. It’s so annoying and means I’m losing track of replies etc.

Yes I'm getting the "return to the top" when I've been scrolling through active threads too.
