Can I please be removed from the test group and have my account moved back to the paginated version? I really dislike the infinite scrolling, it makes it much harder to navigate the threads and means I end up leaving threads and not engaging with the site. I would have appreciated a heads up that I was being placed in a test group and how to opt out instead of being left to struggle with a frustrating and unnecessary change.

We can see there are a few of you who have been removed before but are still on infinite scroll, so we'll check those accounts again very carefully. We did just want to check though that you are all on the main site. We had some confusion last week as a few people didn't realise that there was no option for pages on the app. So if you're using the app none of this will apply to you, but if not we hope to have it sorted very soon.

I didn’t realise this. Highly tempted to delete the app as this is a really poor alternative.

Just to add some vaguely helpful (?) thoughts - it doesn’t seem to be a very GOOD infinite scroll. On really long threads it puts the slider near the bottom of the bar, even when there are loads of messages still to go, and it doesn’t have a “skip to the bottom” functionality straightforwardly. I want out altogether as I don’t like it, but if you do end up keeping it for some or (God forbid) all of us, I don’t think you have got a good implementation of it.

I asked to be added to the scroll group, as I’m generally a huge fan of an Infinite scroll. But like @Lindtnotlint post covers, it’s really really clunky, the no scroll to the bottom and how laggy it is, is a huge problem for me, could I be removed?

Morning @1clavdivs. We did check on your status and you aren't actually in the infinite scroll group, so you should just be able to change this in your settings and choose '50 posts per page' or whatever suits there. Drop us a line (maybe just click on one of your posts and report it) if you're still having trouble and we can take a look.

I’m not in the infinite scroll group - I opted out - but I don’t like the way the pages are now infinite scroll by default, for people who aren’t logged in.

If a page isn’t as interesting as I expected it to be, I usually quickly scroll down to the Trending list at the bottom and pick something else. With infinite scroll, I don’t reach this! It honestly just makes me leave the website.

I don’t want to always log in - sometimes I just want to lurk 😁

I asked pretty early on in the thread to be removed, but I’m still on infinite scroll. I’ve checked my settings and it says 25 per page.

Hit add post. That will take you immediately to the bottom of the thread.
