Please remove me from the infinite scroll test group.

Can I please be removed from the test group and have my account moved back to the paginated version? I really dislike the infinite scrolling, it makes it much harder to navigate the threads and means I end up leaving threads and not engaging with the site. I would have appreciated a heads up that I was being placed in a test group and how to opt out instead of being left to struggle with a frustrating and unnecessary change.

I can't even work out how to get straight to the end of a thread anymore, without scrolling all the way through 100s of posts. Please remove me from this group.

JustHereWithMyPopcorn · 28/05/2025 15:24

Please remove me too, I absolutely hate it! thank you.

Thanks, all. We've added everyone up to this point to the list for removal.

Just thinking about how nice it is when the torment stops. But why was this "test" implemented in this way in the first place? Why weren't people offered the chance to opt in?

420-odd people is a lot of people... is there any point where you guys will think.... well that's a fail, let's stop trialling it?

JustHereWithMyPopcorn · 28/05/2025 16:26

Thank you for my pages back!

DietQueen2023 · 28/05/2025 16:40

Please can I have pages back too

fosterma · 28/05/2025 17:25

this is funny - I can remember when pages were implemented, there was uproar, just like this

Thanks to everyone above who's got in touch. We'll remove you asap.

Please can you remove me from this test as well, and the sooner the better; I'm glad I came here to check if something weird was going on for everyone, rather than just abandoning the site completely because it had become impossible to navigate any long threads such as the Archers one.

DappledThings · 28/05/2025 17:37

I seem to have just been moved to the test group this afternoon. Please remove me right away. It's awful.

And please can you update on current plans to roll this out without the possibility of removal given the vast negative feedback you've received

StJamesInfirmary · 28/05/2025 17:38

Still waiting to be removed

Monkeysymbols · 28/05/2025 17:52

Remove me also, it's awful. And why do some OPs appear in white not green?

Seasaltlass · 28/05/2025 17:56

Please remove me too. I hate it!
Have to keep logging out to get the pages restores.

Pollyanna87 · 28/05/2025 19:06

Please remove me!

Pleasedontpassmeby · 28/05/2025 21:38

Please can I have pages restored.
Thank you.

CuddlesKovinsky · 29/05/2025 07:25

Please remove me too, it's taken me ages to get to the bottom of the page so I could ask this! I have arthritis and the endless scrolling is playing merry hell with the joints in my hands...

Cheers. 🙂

Merluzzo · 29/05/2025 09:44

Please remove me too, infinite scrolling is awful.

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 29/05/2025 11:24

Thank you for giving back pages to me; I can use the board again.

CornishYarg · 29/05/2025 11:29

Please remove me too

JoMumsnet · 29/05/2025 13:08

Just placemarking to say we're removing everyone who's posted so far. Thanks again.

We'll add those last few names to the list to be removed. Thanks.

Please remove me too. Genuinely I'm finding it infuriating and it's making me not want to use the site. I can't really articulate why I'm having such an extreme feelings about it but I absolutely HATE it. I can't find comments I want to refer back to, and I can't find the end of the thread to read just the most up to date posts. Horrible functionality. It's only just happened for me in the last 24 hours.

Phunkychicken · 29/05/2025 14:18

Please could you remove me too, thankfully only just started for me

NotAtMyAge · 29/05/2025 15:20

I only use the website and absolutely cannot use it unless the threads are paginated. Given that busy threads can rapidly reach hundreds of posts, trying to keep up with the development of the thread becomes impossible if I have to keep scrolling. Yesterday I followed a thread which is now closed after 1000 posts. I simply can't scroll to read that number of posts and it's unreasonable to expect people to do so.

tinyspiny · 29/05/2025 15:58

Hi I appear to have been moved to this today and would like it removed , it’s absolutely impossible to read a thread and if you are reading and want to actually comment it takes forever to reach the end to do so . Horrible idea .

Brownhairdontcare · 29/05/2025 16:04

Please remove me too! It's really not doing it for me!

Thanks so much 🙏

It happened for me after lunch today. Fine this morning and now endless scrolling, which on a laptop with arthritic fingers is an unpleasant experience. I am certain that if I can't use Mumsnet with pagination I will sadly stop using it out of sheer frustration.
