Please remove me from the infinite scroll test group.

Can I please be removed from the test group and have my account moved back to the paginated version? I really dislike the infinite scrolling, it makes it much harder to navigate the threads and means I end up leaving threads and not engaging with the site. I would have appreciated a heads up that I was being placed in a test group and how to opt out instead of being left to struggle with a frustrating and unnecessary change.

It’s taken several minutes to get to the end of this thread so I can ask to be removed from the infinite scrolling test.
MUMSNET PLEASE REMOVE ME FROM THE INFINITE SCROLLING TEST!

No. No it bloody well doesn't.

Thanks, everyone. We'll be removing everyone who's posted here just as soon as we can.

Please remove me from the HORRIBLE permanent scroll thread!!! ASAP please. I hate it

inkymoose · 27/05/2025 15:49

Just in case no-one saw my post, pleeeeeease remove me from the awful permanent scroll thread. I can't cope with it. I can't search back in threads for a particular page. It is so bad (autistic woman here)
Thank you

justasoul · 26/05/2025 21:10

Yes, another here to say infinite scroll is awful - if it becomes a permanent feature then I’m afraid I’m out.

Me too. I can't understand the point of it

mumda · 27/05/2025 16:43

Is that what it was?

BiggerBrighterBetter · 27/05/2025 17:30

@BeckyAMumsnet @HebeMumsnet @JoMumsnet please remove infinite scroll, it's really making me want to leave. I didn't realise what it was, it reverted back yesterday without me asking, but now it's back. I think you need to listen to the chorus of dissent...

Molecule · 27/05/2025 18:08

I asked a couple of days ago to be removed from it; really can’t stand it, but so far still on it.

inkymoose · 27/05/2025 18:31

It's gone! Thank you mumsnet. Soooo much better

Iheartmysmart · 27/05/2025 20:11

Please remove me too, it’s bloody awful and putting me off using mumsnet.

Iheartmysmart · 27/05/2025 20:21

Just to add, it doesn’t happen on all threads for some reason. The OP posts aren’t in a different colour either.

Unforgettablefire · 27/05/2025 21:26

Can you remove me too please.

Avocadocream · 27/05/2025 21:58

Can I be removed too please

cynicbuthappy · 27/05/2025 22:27

Please remove me. It makes the site unusable. Additionally, like a PP some threads load without the OP being in a different colour.

MarinaDelRay · 27/05/2025 22:44

Thank you!

CarolVessey · 27/05/2025 23:35

Can you remove me too please?

Dishwasherbroken · 27/05/2025 23:43

Please remove me too. Thanks.

justasoul · 28/05/2025 08:26

Thank you! Just to let you know, when the infinite scroll was on, I couldn’t see OP’s posts highlighted as some people have mentioned, but also I could name-change on a thread I had commented on.

Iheartmysmart · 28/05/2025 09:10

And as if the endless bloody scrolling isn’t bad enough, the page then decides to reload and you end up having to scroll back through endless messages you’ve already read! It’s making the site unusable.

Lovingmayo · 28/05/2025 09:48

I was removed yesterday but now it’s back. Please remove me again. Hate it

FranksInvisibleLlama · 28/05/2025 10:00

Please remove me from this test group.
I just spent too long scrolling through this whole thread to get to this box to post this. I am sure there is a solution to that, surely there must be a way to post without scrolling through hundreds of posts, so if you are going to force a change to how people use the site maybe let them know how to make it work in the new format even if it seems obvious. I saw in a different (shorter so I could read more of it rather than just desperately scrolling to get to the end) thread about using Bookmark and Save functions to make no pages more manageable, but I have never needed to use them before and didn’t know about them.
I hate not having pages and really want them back. Please don’t change it.

CopperWhite · 28/05/2025 10:03

Thank you. Pages are so much clearer.

whatdidkatydo · 28/05/2025 10:31

this!!

I am on the verge of giving up. This is SO annoying!

HebeMumsnet · 28/05/2025 11:49

Thanks, all. We've added everyone up to this point to the list for removal.

Honkingyellowdaffodils · 28/05/2025 12:40

HebeMumsnet · 28/05/2025 11:49

Thanks, all. We've added everyone up to this point to the list for removal.

Any chance of adding another on please? I really can’t understand why anyone would want infinite scrolling rather than paginated threads, it makes everything so difficult to navigate!

Hedonism · 28/05/2025 14:09

Have I just gone into this group? Where are my pages? Please put them back, this is awful!!
