Do you find it weird when you are addressed by you Mumsnet name?

I'm not actally Lynette, except on MN, and find it really weird when people address me as Lynette.

No, used to it now. I answer to Hula quite happily these days.

When I met MNetters in RL it felt wierd not to call them by their MN name...

You mean on MN right? No I am used to it, and I quite like it. I like being Pavlov. Its me.
In fact Pavlov is actually my name.

I find it funny that people call me Cals, not Cal....my nickname should really be Cal's world because that's where I live most of the time according to my friends anyway!

The only time I was Not Impressed was when a poster referred to me as Dog Boy . Harrumph

Not as weird as when I tell DH about something on MN and quote someone's chat name from here and what they said. And then he looks at me and laughs.

I answer (as Marsy will attest) to George. Even without the Saint.

DH has been known at times, when I am totally engrossed in MN, to call me George just to get my attention.

tad embarrassing tho when someone yells out "you psycho" randomly (here OR in RL) and I think it refer's to me

hehe, I always call Frannie&Zoe Frannie, even though I know she isn't...lol...

weirdly, i always call her frank. and i do actually know her RL name..

The only time it freaked me out was when I was walking dd back from school, and someone I didn't recognise rolled down their car window and yelled "WigWam!" as they drove past me.

Here I am WWB and don't find it weird at all. Walking up the road was weird.

We have a pizza posse [the names are secret, bit like a quiche]

We start off with RL names and within 10 minutes are referring to each other by MN names.

i find it strange to see hoxton written down in the outside world, makes me do a double take. i should get over it really.
