Annoying "Unwatch/Save/Share" taking up screen on mobile site

Hi, not sure if this is deliberate or not!
I've posted on a thread, now when I revisit it there is a pulldown type thing saying "unwatch/save/share" that stays there when I scroll down the thread, taking up loads of space. It's annoying! It's at the top of the thread but I can't scroll down past it as it moves with me when I scroll.

I'm on Android mobile site.

I keep track of my Threads I'm Watching just fine, and never save or share through the site, so would rather this disappeared!

This is a recently released feature and it sounds like it's working as intended. We appreciate your feedback and will take it on board whilst we continue to test it.

It's working as intended it's awful I can't read the thread with that pulling down as I scroll it's incredibly distracting

Please get rid of it. It’s very irritating.

Three times tonight I’ve browsed MN and three times I’ve left because the moving bar is so annoying.

Yes it's distracting and takes up about 25% of the reading space.

I came to say the same thing - I hate it. It is distracting and gets in the way. My iPad screen isn't big enough to put up with this thing taking up space. At the very least, could we have an option to lock it at the top of the screen? All your feedback so far has given it a resounding thumbs down.

I am using a phone and I have a disability that means as well as being distracting it prevents me from using it i persevered but I just can't read those threads now.

@LilyMumsnet this is an example of a long post from someone it means I can't read that post as the bar blocks it. I don't "read" each line individually.

It works as intended if you do not want people to use the mobile site. Distracting and seemingly unnecessary. I thought it was a bug!

Sooner it's fixed the better - I was reading AIBU threads this morning and it was gone, but appeared on one in Chat just now.

I was just about to post the same - it’s so irritating!
I get that the functionality of not having to scroll back to the top for these buttons would be helpful, but the bar floating over the text is not good.

I’ve just tried to read that linked to thread.

To be fair, if the watch thread button was in a fixed bar at the very top and very bottom of each page of a thread that would be spot on. It’d be more efficient than going to the drop down.

But the scrolling always there thing is intensely irritating and would is hugely off putting.

I agree, fixed at top and bottom would be ideal. But is it necessary at all? Those options are already there in the drop-down section, it's not a huge job to go there to use them. I'd have preferred to have the arrows a little bigger, so easier to touch.

When will this be fixed please? As I mentioned I can't read threads in the normal way due to by disability so I simply can't read any threads where this has been added.

Yes, it's disappeared from AIBU, thank goodness, but not from Chat. I haven't looked at other sections lately.

I cleared my ipad cache yesterday, or does this refer to something on the site?

I cleared my cache that just logged me out, logged back in it's still doing it and also on AIBU for me.

Hi again @DragonFly98 . You should only be seeing this banner on Chat now so if it's still showing up in AIBU or elsewhere could you let us know? Also, the banner should be 'stuck' at the most recent end of the thread and stay in position as you scroll rather than move about. Is that the case?

I have also had this stuck banner thing, which stays in position as I scroll. It causes vertigo and makes the site impossible to use - I don't use sites with this sort of visual effect. I luckily am not seeing it this morning, but will log out and leave if I do

It's stuck in the wrong way on my screen in Chat, the very issue everyone is complaining about - as you scroll down the thread, the bar is blocking the text, it doesn't disappear from the screen as it should. I don't, and I doubt anyone else wants, to have it anywhere but out of the way, whether top or bottom of the screen.

What do you mean by stays in position it's about 1/3 up on my screen and you have to scroll with the words going under it if that makes sense. I can't view a page of text in that way.
