Oliveoil,

For my benefit I take it

So if I have a genuine problem using the site I am not allowed to post as its wasting tech's time yes??

Oliveoil · 28/02/2008 14:00

no, just in general

everyone moaning about not having a card

well get one then, it is not MN's problem to sort out paypal so you can all flog clothes imo

magnolia74 · 28/02/2008 14:04

oh ok
Will retract my

mumofdjandp · 28/02/2008 14:07

ooh oliveboil burst there

debbie102 · 28/02/2008 14:08

Sorry just have to say im not moaning about not having a card- if i wanted one id get one, i just dont see why people who dont have them should be penilised for not using one that was my original point, and i think some people just got swept away with the sarcastic comments, Good luck Magnolia.

To be fair, debbie - I think that most people nowadays have some form of bank card, whether it's a credit or a debit card.

I don't think you can really say that you're being penalised because MN don't accept paypal.

Fimbo · 28/02/2008 14:16

Can we just calm things down now. Debbie you're sorted.

Please can you all think about the hassle this has/is/was causing MN? Without adding to it.

magnolia74 · 28/02/2008 14:17

I give up

Rang bank back and they said no problem with my card and I have used card with worldpay this morning so it has to be a hitch somewhere on mumsnet.

Oh well such is life!

Tech earlier said:

'To be honest, I'm really surprised that a number of people don't have debit cards and cheque books. How would you ever get money out of the bank? How do you manage to get your paypal money out of paypal if you don't have a bank account? '

I have a cashpoint card to get money out of the bank.
I have a bank account so I transfer Paypal into it.
FFS.

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 28/02/2008 16:36

Has anyone mentioned pre pay credit cards? You can buy them for £3 then top them up at paypoint outlets, I'm sure that would solve any problems for those who can't get a standard credit/debit card?

itsahardknocklife · 28/02/2008 16:44

that's a great idea - thanks thedevil!

soremummy · 28/02/2008 18:57
