Upsetting ad coming up . Has anyone else had this? It’s very triggering

twice today an ad has come up ‘40 genetic photos’ and an image of what appears to be a baby affected by a trisomy ? This could upset a parent who has suffered a loss due to this.
It really startled me (I’ve been through this) it could upset someone else ?

@LilyMumsnet the link I posted didn’t seem to have those images on it, but they seem to be coming from other clickbait links on that site.

@LilyMumsnet you said it's blocked but it isn't. I've cleared my cookies and browsing history and also refreshed Mumsnet but the ad is still appearing.

But I’m still seeing it with different distressing images of babies.
The site is history all day.

To let everyone know you can press the x in the corner and give feedback to google. I said it was inappropriate.

I just got it. Do I need to do something to my settings like refresh cookies? (Has no idea what that does)

I’m still getting it. I plucked up the courage and clicked the link and I didn’t see any babies in it, they’re just using horrid images to shock and presumably lure clicks. Awful. I’m going to come off MN now as it’s following me around and I really can’t deal with it. It’s on all threads.

For anyone still seeing it, install an ad blocker, even if only temporarily.

I don't see ads on MN at all but I have today seen such ads on another site, so it's not just MN.

Ok thank you Yarno I have installed an adblocker, I don't like to ad block MN because clicks = income = free to users. But tonight has been exceptionally bad so, shrug.

Don’t feel bad MN is free to users because we are the content that generates their income.

Well them awful images are still coming up for me across multiple other threads.

I clicked the x in the top right corner and reported as inappropriate and they’ve stopped on my feeds now. Hope this helps.

This ad is still coming up. Came onto site stuff to see if Mumsnet was aware. I saw a very disturbing image of a baby and can’t believe that this has been flagged up since yesterday and it’s still happening. It’s grim.

I’ve seen it several times this morning and it’s made me feel sick and dizzy each time. It’s really graphic. Do we have to put a screenshot of it back on this thread to get MN moving?

Going to have to stop using the site until it’s sorted. This was flagged up as a problem yesterday and I can’t believe it’s still happening. 🙁

Please take it off asap. It is really distressing and made me feel very uncomfortable.

Just seen it accidentally and quite shocked and upset by it.

It’s frankly not good enough that it’s not sorted and that Mumsnet appear to be no ignoring this thread.
