Search not working

If I search for a user it comes up with no results. Is this deliberate or a glitch? Thank you.

Afternoon, everyone. And thanks for your patience on this. We are still looking at this issue - it's not an easy fix unfortunately and there's a lot of user feedback that we need to go through. So we are on it, but a fix isn't going to be immediately imminent to be honest.

Until it's sorted, the best place to do username searches is in advanced search because there's a specific field to enter usernames so it's more accurate than filtering, and the main search also doesn't search all posts - it only searches thread titles and opening posts.

Hopefully that helps a bit in the meantime. We'll post in Site Stuff as soon as there's any update.

Thanks for the update . In fact my own examples were using username already and still retrieving either no results or very few results - username is what I tend to use most when looking for a specific thread.

The defaulting to a one year history rather than all time is matches on to the same timeline.

Sadly right now we can only continue to apologise and confirm that it's on the list of fixes. It's frustrating, but you will hear back as soon as we have something. Thanks for the examples, hopefully that will be useful, and apologies again.

@HopeMumsnet This is still not working for me (iPhone app). Has there been an update from you that I've missed, or is it still not working?

Still doesn't work on the iphone app for me either.
