And if not, it looks as though I've hidden it. Can anyone tell me how to unhide it?

This is a site stuff thread. Why are you banging on about Harry on it. Are you that obsessed?

I'm only here for the drama of the missing topic.

Yes apologies. I shall 🤐

Hungrycaterpillarsmummy · 09/01/2023 19:25

Kate is in the wrong there.

Swissmountains · 09/01/2023 19:25

If my child was participating in a royal wedding in front of the whole world, I would think the dress fitting properly IS very important, otherwise the critics would be out in force, to protect Meghan and Harry in effect. The media pore over every little detail. A baggy ill fitting bridesmaid dress would be a faux pas at this level.

I guess Kate was trying to help.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiight 😁

RichardOsmansXraySpecs · 09/01/2023 19:27

Why did Kate want the dresses remade? That’s bonkers.

RedToothBrush · 09/01/2023 19:27

hopeishere · 09/01/2023 19:20

Would she not say moms? As an American??

Also Kate suggesting the dresses need remade is a bit bonkers too to be fair!!

The whole exchange between the two of them sounds curt and rude. It sounds like there's no love lost on either side and both of them were fed up with each other and they'd been an argument prior to the text if that is the entire conversation.

But Harry wanted the four of them to hang out as best buddies after the wedding? And was taken back when William said it might not happen like that. And then Harry got upset because William didn't want to hang out with him the night before the wedding and instead cancelled at the last minute to look after his wife and children (including newborn Louis).

Strikes me that there'd been a long running argument going on with Meghan and Kate which Harry knew nothing of (but William did)....

Hungrycaterpillarsmummy · 09/01/2023 19:25

Kate is in the wrong there.

100%. I just don’t understand what she was thinking, if that’s what she really texted.

SighsTheNewWord · 09/01/2023 19:29

Well, it's a fairly normal text between two people who seem to be irritated.

Take away K or M from the equation and some people will admit person A was being a bit unnecessarily difficult during person B's wedding. If person A has problems with her child's dress, the logical thing is to get it mended (and by the tailor person B has arranged to fix the issue), not harass person B (who's busy with a million other things for her wedding) and complain about dresses.

Secondly, what's person A's problem with the wedding party? Why is person A telling person B how to plan her own wedding and party? If she doesn't want her son to attend the page boy party or whatever, then she can let him stay home.

In my opinion, this text shows that person A (Kate) was being inconsiderate and throwing tantrums while frustrating person B (Meghan). We know she's the wife of the heir so she's used to having her own way but of course anyone would be snappy in those circumstances.

Let's be objective here.

New flash

My threads are back but entirely empty
All of the content has been deleted

StarInTheHeavens · 09/01/2023 19:30

@AutumnCrow how can you tell there's a bot on a thread?

NormalNans · 09/01/2023 19:30

Literally just here in case the memes make a reappearance. Is this one too much?

Has The Royal topic been disappeared?

Kate is in the wrong there.

I disagree. Meghan was appallingly disrespectful and rude in that text about the other mums.

goodbyestranger · 09/01/2023 19:30

Yes massively out of order from Kate piling on stress. Very unpleasant.

I'm interested in why the Royal Topic has vanished because that is hilarious. I couldn't give a stuff about bridesmaid dresses.

ItWasDobbinAtTheMareAndSpare · 09/01/2023 19:31

I just got a notification from Kindle that Spare was ready and being downloaded, but then it (notification) seemed to disappear and the book isn’t available yet. Weird.

Hungrycaterpillarsmummy · 09/01/2023 19:31

It really is wrong for Mumsnet to have removed the royal family section.
It's been there for years then suddenly, because there's stuff to actually discuss, we shouldn't be?
It's complete censorship

ItWasDobbinAtTheMareAndSpare · 09/01/2023 19:32

Those messages look like people that are already annoyed with each other.

GrouchyKiwi · 09/01/2023 19:32

It really depends on how bad the dresses were, to be fair. The number of times my Mum has completely remade dresses because they were sitting terribly is rather high, and she's fantastic at sewing. (I cannot manage a straight line.)

I also remember my Mum & her sister having arguments over flower girl dresses for my Auntie's wedding because they were uncomfortable and mere adjustments weren't going to cut it.

That said, I think Kate was right to take flowers and apologise, if that's how things went down. She was rather forceful and I don't blame Meghan for getting snippy back at her.

Have you actual read the thread? At least take a look at the response from the Mumsnet staff.

Swissmountains · 09/01/2023 19:33

We have been cancelled people!

RichardOsmansXraySpecs · 09/01/2023 19:33

Demanding your DC has a new dress instead of it being altered by probably one of the best tailors in the country? Nah, Kate is definitely wrong about that. And her kid crying when she tried it on because it was too big? As if.
It’s the first I’ve heard about these text messages. Maybe Kate is not the saint she’s been made out to be?

They haven't. It's mysteriously disappeared with no help from MNHQ!! 👻👻🫣

BradfordGirl · 09/01/2023 19:33

Mezmer · 09/01/2023 19:13

Is that actually a text from M to K? I’m only following the drama on here so my knowledge has so far been reliant on memes.

Why is it rude? It sounds like Kate is refusing to take Charlotte to the tailor as has been arranged.
