Deletion message states that personal information was divulged, but it wasn't: there was a link to legitimate news sites that reported the info. Public domain!

Why are you more interested in protecting a violent criminal than the youngsters he may gain access to? Why can't we discuss this?

MN - if this information cannot be in the public domain, please tell us why.

To hear a genuine and reasonable reason why it shouldn’t be public would probably put my mind at rest greatly on the issue.

• he was convicted, there's no sub judice issues here
• very many MNers will have DCs at uni age and have an interest in knowing this
• and it's a really, really shit decision from the university, the sort of thing that MN should be all over given its membership.
